A first device receives a handshake signal transmitted from a second device through multiple propagation paths, the handshake signal including a preamble and a training sequence, in which the training sequence includes a sequence of symbols known to the first and second devices. A synchronization index is determined based on the preamble, and the training sequence in the handshake signal is identified based on the synchronization index. A channel response signal is determined based on the received training sequence, and a signature waveform that is a time-reversed signal of the channel response signal is generated. A transmission signal is generated based on transmit data and the signature waveform, in which the transmit data are data configured to be transmitted to the second device.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for HARQ retransmission on an unlicensed carrier in an LTE-LAA system. A method in the base station includes: performing a CCA detection on the unlicensed carrier to determine energy on the unlicensed carrier and, at the same time, :initiating an HARQ discarding timer for the unlicensed carrier, when the base station and a UE operate on the unlicensed carrier; comparing the determined energy with a predetermined CCA threshold; if the determined energy on the unlicensed carrier is not smaller than the CCA threshold until the HARQ discarding timer is expired, giving up the HARQ retransmission on the unlicensed carrier; and if the energy is detected to be smaller than the CCA threshold before the HARQ discarding timer is expired, continuing the HARQ retransmission on the unlicensed carrier.

In some examples, the inverse mapping parameter may be an inverse of the mapping parameter. Thus, in accordance with the present disclosure, precoding a transport block may include selecting a precoding weight for each of the plurality of antennas from an unrestricted precoding weight set.
