Abstract: A mounting apparatus for mounting a memory card to a printed circuit board (PCB) includes a connector mounted on the PCB and a fixing member. The connector defines a slot in a top surface for electrically receiving the memory card. An ear protrudes from each of opposite end surfaces of the connector and defines a through hole. The fixing member includes a bar abutted against a top of the memory, two legs respectively extending down from opposite ends of the bar to abut against opposite ends of the memory card, and two deformable latches respectively extending from distal ends of the legs and engaged in the corresponding through holes.

Abstract: A heat sink assembly includes a heat sink, two first fixing structures, and two second fixing structures. The heat sink includes a base. The base includes two opposite sidewalls each forming a fixing portion. When the heat sink is mounted to a first motherboard, the first fixing structures are respectively and detachably connected to the fixing portions of the heat sink, and fix the heat sink to the first motherboard. When the heat sink is mounted to a second motherboard, the second fixing structures are detachably connected to fixing portions of the heat sink, and fix the heat sink to the second motherboard.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a process of using a heat responsive mixture to produce inorganic interconnected 3D open-cell bone substitutes which can be applied in the orthopedic or dental field for treatment of bone damage. The invention provides a simple and easily-controlled process of preparing porous inorganic bone substitute materials.

Abstract: A pneumatic control valve includes a first valve body, a pushing block, a rotating block, a second valve body, an end cover, and a piston. The first valve body defines a first gas inlet and a receiving hole. The first valve body forms a plurality of guiding ribs evenly positioned on the inner surface of the receiving hole away from the first gas inlet, and each of the guiding ribs forms an inclined surface at a distal end thereof. The pushing block and the rotating block are slidably received in the receiving hole. The second valve body is connected to an end of the first valve body adjacent to the receiving hole of the first valve body. The end cover is fastened on an end of the second valve body away from the first valve body. A pneumatic control system using the pneumatic control valve is also provided.

Abstract: A method and system for process/data sharing. A trigger response unit, corresponding to a first application residing in a first system, is deployed in a second system. The trigger response unit detects information embedded in trigger data, representing the first application with associated data, when the trigger data is activated in a second system. Based on the information detected, a launching request is generated and sent to the first system to launch an instance of the first application in the first system with respect to the associated data. The second system receives, via a remote access protocol, a dynamic graphical representation of the first application launched in the first system based on the launching request. The associated data is manipulated in the second system using the first application launched in the first system via the dynamic graphical representation of the first application displayed in the second system.

Abstract: A simulation test card to simulate a peripheral card to be inserted into a system to be tested includes a board, an edge connector formed on a bottom side of the board, and a first heating circuit. The first heating circuit includes a number of first switches, a number of first resistors, and a heating element. First terminal of the first switches are connected to a power pin of the edge connector. A first terminal of each first switch is connected to a first terminal of the first heating element through a corresponding first resistor. A second terminal of the first heating element is connected to a ground pin of the edge connector. Each of the switches can be selectively switched to make the first heating circuit generate different heat.

Abstract: A motherboard includes a heat sink, a circuit board forming an electronic element and two latches at opposite sides of the electronic element, and two fixing members. The heat sink includes a base board and a number of rows of spaced fins. Two lows of protrusions are formed on the base board and are respectively located at opposite sides of a row of fins. Each protrusion defines a through hole. Each fixing member includes a clamping portion engaging with one of the latching members, and two engaging portions engaging in the corresponding through holes.

Abstract: A plug fastener is provided to avoid a plug with a power line disengaging from a power strip. The plug fastener includes two fixing members, two connecting clips, and a fixing clip. The fixing members are detachably engaged with each other for sandwiching the power line therebetween. The fixing clip is placed around the power strip. A first end of each of the connecting clips is rotatably connected to the fixing clip, and a second end of each of the connecting clips opposite to the first end is rotatably connected to a respective one of the fixing members.

Abstract: A fan includes blades, a motor, a bracket fixing the motor, a fan connector, a resistor unit, and a switch unit. The fan connector, the resistor unit, and the switch unit are configured to control power to the motor to adjustably control rotation of the blades. The motor controls the blades to rotate at different speeds through switching the switch unit to adjust the current output to the power terminal of the motor.

Abstract: A fastening mechanism for fixing a radiator having a plurality of heat sinks to a circuit board includes two fixing rods fixed on the circuit board, a connecting member positioned between the heat sinks; and two fastening arms respectively connecting the connecting member to the fixing rods. An electronic device using the fastening mechanism is also provided.

Abstract: A heat dissipation device includes a heat sink and a heat pipe extending through the heat sink. The heat sink includes a plurality of fins overlapped with each other. An air passage channel is defined between every two adjacent fins for an airflow flowing therethrough. Each of the fins defines a through hole therein for extension of the heat pipe. Each of the fins includes a main plate and an air guiding member formed on the main plate. The air guiding member includes a curved bar. The curved bar extends slantwise on the main plate to a back side of the heat pipe for guiding the airflow to the back side of the heat pipe.

Abstract: Provided is a heat sink clip for fastening a heat sink on a printed circuit board (PCB). The heat sink clip includes two hooks and a wire clip. The two hooks are inversely fixed to the PCB at two opposite sides of the heat sink. The wire clip includes a pressing wire pressing the heat sink, two pairs of deforming wires extending from the lateral of the pressing wire along two radial directions of the pressing wire and away from the PCB, and two engaging wires engaging with the respective hooks such that the deforming wires are bent towards the PCB.

Abstract: A device for fixing a number of expansion cards includes a rack and a fixing member. The rack includes a top wall. The second body is pivotably attached to an outer surface of the first body. The second body may be rotated relative to the first body to partly overlap the first vents with the second vents to adjust the rate or volume of airflow permitted through a heat-generating device.

Abstract: The invention provides a polyelectrolyte complex gel comprising a chitosan and a ?-polyglutamic acid (?-PGA) having a molecular weight from about 1 kDa to about 400 kDa or the salt thereof, wherein the chitosan and the ?-PGA are swollen with an aqueous solution. Also provided is a soft tissue augmentation implant, comprising a polyelectrolyte complex gel of the invention as a carrier or a filler and an optional additive. The polyelectrolyte complex gel and the soft tissue augmentation implant containing the same has long degradation time and better supportability so as to provide good maintenance for soft tissue.

Abstract: An imaging system and method configured to construct an image of an internal structure of an object. The imaging system including: a radiation source configured to generate both a narrow beam and a wide beam of radiation; a detector configured to detect the radiation; and at least one processing circuit configured to: determine a scatter-to-primary ratio (SPR) of the wide beam based on the narrow beam; determine a primary component of the wide beam based on the SPR to thereby separate the primary component from a scattered component of the wide beam; and construct the image using the primary component.
