    Abstract: A modulation and coding determining method and a related device, applied to a terminal device. The method includes: receiving scheduling information sent by a network device, where the scheduling information includes a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index and an actual scheduled bandwidth; determining a modulation mode based on the MCS index; determining a coding parameter based on the modulation mode and the actual scheduled bandwidth; and performing channel coding on a signal based on the coding parameter to obtain a coded signal. The coding parameter may be determined based on the scheduling information, and coding is performed based on the coding parameter, so as to improve spectral efficiency.

    Abstract: This application discloses a channel measurement method and apparatus. A network device sends downlink signaling, to indicate or activate a beam. A terminal device determines the beam indicated or activated by using the downlink signaling, determines, based on an association relationship between a beam and a channel measurement configuration, a channel measurement configuration associated with the beam, performs channel measurement based on the channel measurement configuration, to obtain a channel measurement result, and reports the channel measurement result to the network device. According to the channel measurement solution in this application, when channel quality of a new beam needs to be measured, the network device does not need dedicated signaling to indicate a channel measurement configuration associated with the new beam. When the beam is indicated or activated, the terminal device is triggered to perform channel measurement, to implement low-latency and low-overhead channel measurement.
