Abstract: The disclosure herein describes securing access to a service resource within a security boundary. A security gateway instance receives a request from an edge deployment outside the security boundary. The request includes identity data identifying the edge deployment. The identity data is validated based on allowed identity data of the security gateway instance and based on a validation handler associated with the service resource. Based on validating the identity data and validating the request, the identity data is transformed using security data specific to the security gateway instance. The transformed identity data indicates the request has been validated by the security gateway instance. Based on transforming the identity data of the request, the transformed identity data and the request are forwarded to the service resource via a network link within the security boundary, wherein the service resource is configured to process the request based on identifying the transformed identity data.

Abstract: Described herein is a mechanism for utilizing a neural network to identify and rank search results. A machine learning model is trained by converting training data comprising query-document entries into query term-document entries. The query term-document entries are utilized to train the machine learning model. A set of query terms are identified. The query terms can be derived from a query history. The trained machine learning model is used to calculate document ranking scores for the query terms and the resultant scores are stored in a pre-calculated term-document index. A query to search the document index is broken down into its constituent terms and an aggregate document ranking score is calculated from a weighted sum of the document ranking scores corresponding to the individual query terms. Because the term-document index can be pre-calculated, it can be downloaded to provide deep learning search capabilities in a computationally limited environment.

Abstract: Various forms of optical circulator are disclosed. The optical circulators act on polarisation of the light to direct light between its ports. Also disclosed are systems and methods for facilitating estimation of a spatial profile of an environment based on a light detection and ranging (LiDAR) based technique. The systems and method may include or use one or more of the various forms of optical circulator. In one arrangement, the present disclosure facilitates spatial profile estimation based on directing light over one dimension, such as along the vertical direction. In another arrangement, by further directing the one-dimensionally directed light in another dimension, such as along the horizontal direction, the present disclosure facilitates spatial profile estimation based on directing light in two dimensions.
