Abstract: Controller coupled to a mobile communications environment including at least one of a public and a private network and method of controlling a mobile device in the mobile communications environment. The controller includes a receiver that receives data about network operating parameters at specific locations within the at least one of a public and private network, a processor that evaluates the data about the network operating parameters at the specific locations based upon rules for the mobile device, and a transmitter that sends advisories to a mobile device located within a predetermined proximity to one of the specific locations about the network operating parameters.

Abstract: A controller and method of controlling a mobile device. The controller is coupled to a mobile device through a mobile communications environment. A transducer is disposed at an angle with respect to a longitudinal axis of the enclosure, wherein the enclosure contains a fluid surrounding the transducer. Enclosures also include transducers linked to motor means for selective rotation of the transducers within the enclosure. Enclosures with transducer arrays for phased or targeted signal transmission/detection.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for a media editing application that creates a composite presentation from several different media clips. The method provides a set of editing tools for editing the composite presentation. The method provides a voice-over tool for receiving text for a voice-over that includes a transcript for a voice-over audio clip to be recorded by the media editing application as a clip of the composite presentation. The method provides a display area for scrolling the text when recording the voice-over audio clip. The display area in some embodiments is a preview display area that scrolls the text while displaying a preview of the composite presentation when recording the voice-over audio clip.

Abstract: The invention provides methods for modulating cytokine levels, GM-CSF levels and the immune system using CD83 nucleic acids, CD83 polypeptides, anti-CD83 antibodies and factors that influence CD83 activity or expression. The invention also provides mice having a mutant CD83 gene and mice having a transgenic CD83 gene, which are useful for defining the role of CD83 in the immune system and for identifying compounds that can modulate CD83 and the immune system.

Abstract: The method and system is provided where patients and their designated family and friend supporters are provided with daily, interactive, recovery support for up to 90 days following their hospital discharge. By using internet, mobile, and traditional fixed-line communications, the present invention in conjunction with supporting staff will automatically follow-up with patients on a daily basis in order to identify potential problems as they emerge while simultaneously providing a personalized recovery plan that includes daily recovery guides, medication reminders, and condition specific education, all designed to improve a patient's adherence to their doctor's prescribed treatment. By identifying recovery problems in their early stages and improving patient adherence to prescribed treatment, the present invention will lower the risk of re-hospitalization, improve quality of care, and lower overall health care costs.

Further, an acoustic transmitter and receivers can be disposed at an angle with respect to a longitudinal axis of the enclosure. The enclosure can contain attenuative material surrounding the transmitter and receivers, and electronics for controlling the transmitter and receivers and communicating with the downhole tool.

Abstract: Acoustic communication apparatus for use with downhole tools are described. An example acoustic communication apparatus for use in a wellbore includes a first acoustic transducer to generate first acoustic signals. The first acoustic transducer is mounted in an interior of a first drill collar to transmit the first acoustic signals via at least a portion of a body of a drillstring or a mud channel within the drillstring to a second drill collar. Additionally, the example acoustic communication apparatus includes a first receiver mounted to the first drill collar to receive second acoustic signals transmitted from the second drill collar.
