  • Patent number: 12382531
Abstract: A method by a network node, operating as a target donor CU in an IAB network serving as a candidate donor node for a migrating IAB node and providing connectivity for a UE. A message for IAB handover including contexts of the migrating IAB node and UEs and IAB nodes directly or indirectly served by the migrating IAB node is received. Admission control is performed for the UEs and IAB nodes. A handover command to a mobile termination, MT, of the migrating IAB node, and each UE and MT of the IAB nodes is prepared. A group handover command that recursively contains handover commands of all the UEs and MTs is generated. A handover acknowledge message including a list of admitted and not admitted PDU session resources and containing the group handover command is sent. A RRC Reconfiguration Complete message is received.

  • Patent number: 12375979
Abstract: Embodiments include methods, performed by a mobile terminal (MT) of an integrated access backhaul (IAB) node in a radio access network (RAN), for reporting capabilities of cells in the RAN. Such methods include detecting one or more cells in the RAN and determining whether the one or more cells support IAB (e.g., by receiving information broadcast by the respective cells). Such methods also include sending, to a centralized unit (CU, e.g., of abase station) in the RAN, a measurement report including an indication of whether the one or more cells support IAB. Various techniques can be used to indicated IAB support. In some embodiments, the MT can receive a reconfiguration message, from the CU, for a handover to one of the cells that supports IAB. Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by CUs, as well as MTs and CUs configured to perform such methods.

Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to, for example, a method performed by a user equipment, UE, (10) for handling communication in a wireless communications network. The UE (10) receives from an upper layer an indication relating to a quality of experience, QoE, process; and applies the indication in one or more messages and/or for one or more bearers. The UE (10) applies the indication by selecting a message type and/or a bearer type to send the indication to a radio network node depending on a type of a QoE measurement and/or a criticality of the QoE measurement of the indication.

  • Publication number: 20240414610
Abstract: A performed by a first node (111). The method is for handling migration of a node. The first node (111) operates in a communications network (100). The first node (111) sends (1003) an indication to a second node (112) comprised in the communications network (100). The indication indicates a context of a third node (113). The third node (113) is comprised in the communications network (100) and is to be migrated from the first node (111) to the second node (112). The context is for control of radio resource. A content of the indication is based on whether the migration of the third node (113) is to be partial or full. The sending (1003) of the indication is performed in response to a first indication received from the second node (112). The first indication requests the context of the third node (113) from the first node (111).
