  • Patent number: 3968721
Abstract: An expansion anchor for use in concrete structures includes an anchor sleeve in form of a wire block spring which is to be inserted into an expansion anchor hole. A conically tapering expander member is located at the leading end of this spring, and a bolt extends from the trailing end of the spring to the leading end and is engaged with the expander member which it draws into the spring thereby expanding the latter into engagement with the material surrounding the expansion anchor hole. An abutment is provided on the expander member which engages the leading end of the spring when the expander member has been drawn into the latter, and which shears off when the pull exerted by the bolt exceeds a certain limit, in order to thereby prevent the possibility that the surrounding material of the structure in which the expansion anchor is mounted might become damaged.

  • Patent number: 3965894
Abstract: Inserted lineally in the output line of an oxygen supply apparatus between the regulator and the humidifier is a moisture trap. This captures moisture borne by a reverse flow of liquid from the humidifier produced by a vacuum occuring in the regulator when the apparatus is shut down and thereby protects minute oxygen flow orifices in the apparatus from impairment by calcification.

  • Patent number: 3964229
Abstract: An expansion sleeve has a leading end and a trailing end, and an expander member is located at the leading end and can be drawn into the sleeve for expanding the same, by turning of a threaded member which extends through the sleeve and is engaged with the expander member. The threaded member has a portion extending outwardly beyond the trailing end of the sleeve. A nut is threaded onto this portion, and a mounting bracket, folded to form a passage, is placed onto this portion, so that the portion extends through the passage and the mounting bracket is located between the nut and the trailing end of the expansion sleeve. The mounting bracket is formed with cutouts or the like to which securing members for elements to be suspended can be fastened.
