  • Publication number: 20230044793
Abstract: A method for preparing a resol-type phenolic resin comprising the following steps: a) a step of condensing phenol and formaldehyde, in a basic medium, the formaldehyde being in molar excess with respect to the phenol, at a condensation temperature of at least 50° C. until the phenol conversion rate is 50 to 80%, whereby a resol-type phenolic resin results comprising free formaldehyde; b) a step of measuring the free formaldehyde content of the phenolic resin obtained in a); c) a step of reducing the free formaldehyde content of the phenolic resin obtained in a) by placing it in contact with an aminophenolic compound in an excess amount with respect to the free formaldehyde and at a temperature lower than the condensation temperature of step a).

  • Patent number: 11568606
Abstract: A method of and apparatus configured to perform obtaining a captured image of a real environment. The real environment includes a device having a screen. The captured image includes the device having the screen. The pose of the screen is determined based on the captured image. From a source other than the captured image, 2D content to be displayed on a representation of the screen in the virtual scene is obtained. The 2D content is projected to produce projected 2D content. The projected 2D content aligned to the pose of the screen. The virtual scene is generated as a combination of a virtual content item and the projected 2D content.

  • Patent number: 11347306
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods, apparatus or systems for determining an aiming direction (22) of a remote motorized camera (10). The immersive video content captured by the camera (10) is associated with reference directions (13). Parameters of a discrepancy function (32, 42, 53) are calculated. This function is used to control the aiming direction (22) of the camera. It introduces a discrepancy between the rotation wanted by the user (21) and the rotation of the camera (22). An example purpose of the present disclosure is to encourage a user to rotate the camera toward reference directions, preventing him/her to rotate the camera toward the opposite direction. The present principles have the advantage to create pseudo-haptic effects, inciting the user to look toward a reference direction without making him/her sick.

  • Patent number: 11244093
Abstract: A method simulates behavior of a structure by finite element calculation in which a global model represents the structure, a local model represents an area of the structure including geometric details, and an auxiliary model represents the area without the geometric details. The method includes determining by finite element calculation in the global model of a nodal displacement field corresponding to a loading applied to the global model; applying the nodal displacement field to the local and auxiliary models and determining the corresponding forces; calculating a correction when convergence of the solution obtained for the global model is not achieved, and the applying is resumed with a nodal displacement field calculated in the global model after implementing the correction; determining values of internal variables for the different loading increments; and assessing the evolution in the behavior of the structure over time as a function of these values.
