  • Publication number: 20240108053
Abstract: A method for recovering concentrated nicotine from tobacco curing includes collecting a first aqueous solution including moisture released from tobacco during curing tobacco and including nicotine. The first aqueous solution is passed through a strong cation resin to sorb the nicotine. A second aqueous solution comprising ammonium hydroxide is passed through the resin to elute the nicotine and form a third aqueous solution comprising nicotine and ammonium hydroxide. The ammonium hydroxide is removed from the third aqueous solution to generate a fourth aqueous solution comprising nicotine. The fourth aqueous solution is incubated under conditions to cause the fourth aqueous solution to separate into a fifth aqueous solution comprising a first concentration of nicotine and a sixth aqueous solution comprising a second concentration of nicotine. The first concentration of nicotine is greater than the second concentration of nicotine.

  • Patent number: 11780639
Abstract: Produce boxes and bags for shipping produce, e.g., bananas, utilize ventilation structures that allow for ventilation therethrough. A method of assembling produce boxes provides for cutouts that serve as ventilation structures in the boxes. When the produce boxes are stacked such as on a shipping pallet, the ventilation structures allow for ventilation of through the stacked boxes. Produce may be packed in a bag, which is closed with a rip cord and inserted into a produce box. The rip cord may be accessed when the box is in a stack such as on a shipping pallet, such that the rip cord may be pulled thereby opening the bag, without removing the box from the stack.

  • Patent number: 11003545
Abstract: The User Space Incremental Tracking Apparatuses, Methods and Systems (“USIT”) transforms backup driver installation request, backup data store request inputs via USIT components into backup driver installation response, backup data store response outputs. A new most recent activity entry in a file system journal associated with a data volume is determined by a user space tracking agent. Newly changed files on the data volume are determined by processing journal entries between a previous most recent activity entry, as indicated by a last entry marker, and the new most recent activity entry. Changed data blocks associated with the newly changed files are determined. The changed data blocks are marked as changed in a tracking store. The last entry marker is updated to reflect the new most recent activity entry. Data blocks flagged as changed are sent to a backup device. The sent data blocks are marked as unchanged.

  • Patent number: 10915407
Abstract: The Source Volume Backup with Adaptive Finalization Apparatuses, Methods and Systems (“SVBAF”) transforms backup request inputs via SVBAF components into backup response outputs. A set of blocks to be copied from a source volume to a target volume is designated and copied while an operating system is configured to write to the source volume. Blocks of the source volume that were written to by the operating system while the operating system was configured to write to the source volume are identified. Finalization settings are analyzed to determine whether to enter a CoW mode. If the CoW mode should not be entered, the designated set of blocks is changed to include at least one of the identified blocks and a pass is repeated. Otherwise, the operating system is instructed to enter the CoW mode and bring the target volume into a state consistent with a state of the source volume.

  • Publication number: 20210031571
Abstract: A tire deflation and inflation system for a vehicle. The system includes a unit bearing having a plurality of wheel flanges for mounting a wheel thereto. The unit bearing is configured to receive therein a portion of an axle of the vehicle. A wheel hub is mounted to the unit bearing. An air chamber is defined by the unit bearing. In response to positive air pressure generated by an air pressure source, air flows through the air chamber to a tire of the wheel mounted to the unit bearing to increase air pressure of the tire. In response to negative air pressure generated by venting the system to atmosphere, air is drawn out of the tire through the air chamber.
