  • Patent number: 10044756
Abstract: An application deployed in a public cloud is enabled to access an on-premises resource securely and without requiring additional ports on a firewall. A pair of security gateways is instantiated, one at the cloud, and another located on-premises. Each gateway can access information that is necessary to locate and establish a secure connection to the on-premises resource. In response to a determination that the application needs to access the on-premises resource, the data set is used to locate the resource. A communication request is then issued from the cloud gateway to the on-premises gateway over a socket-based communication channel established between the gateways. The communication request is sent over an HTTP-based protocol such that the application is able to access the on-premises resource without requiring an additional IP address/port to be defined at the firewall. Proxied connectivity is then enabled from the application to the on-premises resource.

  • Publication number: 20170144360
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system for thermoforming a batch of dental appliances simultaneously. An embodiment of the invention includes a vacuum plate having an upper surface and a plurality of cups for receiving dental models. A polymer sheet extends over the upper surface of the vacuum plate and over the cups. A heater cap that is movable in proximity to the cups is provided to heat the polymer sheet to be formed onto the dental models. The vacuum plate is configured to create a vacuum seal between an upper edge of the cups and the polymer sheet. A vacuum source is provided to apply a vacuum to the cups below the polymer sheet wherein the pressure contained in said cups is lower than atmospheric pressure whereby at least a portion of the polymer sheet is drawn into each of the cups and drawn over the dental models to form an aligner over each of the dental models.

  • Patent number: 9413290
Abstract: The invention relates to a suitable control method for a system of photovoltaic concentration modules, which can be used to maintain the correct orientation of the modules in order to track the sun without requiring the use of positioning sensors. The sun is tracked by performing angular movements in relation to each of the degrees of freedom at given intervals, measuring the power or current supplied by the energy collection module(s). The estimation of the sun's position and the strategy for subsequent movements are determined as a function of the reading.

  • Publication number: 20150115024
Abstract: Improved produce containers, systems and method for packing and shipping the same, utilize containers that are smaller and have a lower Box Declared Weight than industry-standard banana boxes. The improved system comprises improved containers and an industry-standard sized banana pallet, which allows for a relatively higher weight of bananas to be shipped, while providing effective means to vary ventilation and temperature of the bananas, particularly those that are near the center of the pallet load. The method allows for reduced handling, and as a result, reduced bruising and scarring of bananas, while improving working conditions for those handling the containers.

  • Patent number: 8920532
Abstract: The present invention describes an inoculation process for inoculating a nucleating additive to a cast iron alloy in a pouring distributor by means of using a transferred arc plasma torch, with an anode partially immersed in the cast iron alloy and a cathode located on the surface of said alloy, the anode or the cathode or both comprising graphite, preferably synthetic crystalline graphite, which supplies said nucleating additive to the iron alloy. The invention thus describes an inoculation device useful for carrying out the inoculation process.

  • Publication number: 20140047127
Abstract: Methods and protocols coordinate enforcement of application traffic shaping limits within clusters of middleware appliance information handling systems (MA IHSs). The protocols dynamically set the local traffic shaping requirements at each entry point of an MA IHS. Each MA IHS receives from other MA IHSs runtime statistics containing local shaping requirements and rates of requests. The method uses runtime statistics to measure performance against specified traffic shaping goals, and based on this comparison uses unique protocols to dynamically adjust the local shaping requirements in each MA IHS. The method may eliminate the need to statistically bind service domains to particular MA IHSs. Additional MA IHSs activate and/or deactivate service domains to accommodate service domain (server farm) CPU resource demands.

  • Publication number: 20130040251
Abstract: The system comprises a boiler (1), main burner groups (2F, 2E, 2D, 2C) located on different levels or zones through which pulverized solid fuel is injected into the boiler (1) and main mills (3F, 3E, 3D, 3C) for solid fuel, where each of them is connected to one of the main burner groups (2F, 2E, 2D, 2C) to which a flow of solid fuel is directed. As a complement, it incorporates a substitution mill (3B) intended to operate only on the main burner group (2F, 2E, 2D, 2C) whose main associated mill (3F, 3E, 3D, 3C) has stopped, as well as a support mill (3A) which operates constantly and directs an additional flow of solid fuel towards the main burner group or groups (2F, 2E, 2D, 2C) selected, supplementing the flow of solid fuel provided by the main mills (3F, 3E, 3D, 3C).
