  • Publication number: 20210102337
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an extensible paper, is herein described. The method comprises the steps of: providing pulp fibers in form of a pulp having a first length-weighted average curl index; mechanically treating the pulp fibers using a pulp compression process to induce fiber deformations such that the resulting pulp fibers have a second length-weighted average curl index higher than the first length-weighted average curl index; forming a wet web using the mechanically treated pulp fibers; drying the wet web under restraint to form a dried web; and adding a polymer to the dried web. An extensible paper is also described that comprises: pulp fibers having a length-weighted average curl index CLW; and a polymer in an amount of from 2 to 40 wt % based on the weight of the extensible paper; wherein the extensible paper has a Gurley air resistance below 20 s/100 mL and an elongation at break of at least 7%.

  • Publication number: 20180264386
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to filter media comprising base filter fibers and cellulose filaments. For example, cellulose filaments can increase at least one mechanical property of the filter media as compared to filter media prepared from the base filter fibers alone. The disclosure also relates to various processes for preparing a filter medium, processes for increasing filtration efficiency of a filter medium, processes for increasing a minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) rating of a filter medium.

  • Publication number: 20120152587
Abstract: A wall plate for mounting and supporting an electrical controller (e.g. a switch), an electronic controller (e.g. an electronic thermostat), or a similar wall-mounted electrical equipment, to an electrical outlet box is disclosed. The wall plate is configured to be secured to the outlet box via fasteners. The wall plate comprises a generally central opening through the electrical wires located in the outlet box can be accessed. The wall plate also comprises at least one outwardly extending lug configured to be received in a corresponding recess in the controller, and an outwardly extending supporting base configured to support and secure the controller to the wall plate. The wall plate allows the controller to be mounted to it instead of being mounted to the outlet box, thereby easing the installation of electrical and/or electronic controller.

  • Patent number: 6923683
Abstract: A high density interconnection device includes a high density connector block having a plurality of jacks disposed on the outer surface for common interconnected to a high density connector. A recessed portion formed on the first side surface defines a first multi-faceted surface having a plurality of angularly disposed first surface elements. A projecting portion formed on the second side surface defines a second multi-faceted surface having a plurality of angularly disposed second surface elements. In another embodiment, one group of jacks are defined in a first plane, and another group of jacks are defined in a second plane. The first and second planes are substantially parallel such that the first and second groups of jacks are offset.

  • Patent number: 4760792
Abstract: An acceleration resistant pyrotechnic delay unit delays the ignition of a warhead subjected to high acceleration on launch and high deceleration on impact. The delay unit includes a delay cup housing a pyrotechnic train. The delay cup has a primer cavity a delay cavity and a detonator cavity. A frusto-conical passage extends between the primer cavity and the delay cavity, with the small diameter end opening into the delay cavity. Primer, delay and detonator components of the pyrotechnic train fill the respective cavities in the delay cup. The various components of the train are well supported on all surfaces to prevent fracture due to high acceleration and deceleration.
