  • Publication number: 20110159180
Abstract: This invention relates to a method and device for processing of granules of solidified salts, by forming at least one injection zone in a fluidised bed where a feed stream of seed particles is contacted/coated by the liquid product by simultaneous injection of a feed stream of the seed particles and a feed stream of the liquid product to be sprayed, forming at least one granulation zone in the fluidised bed where contacted/coated seed particles may be dried and/or shaped and/or cooled to form granules, extracting granules from the at least one granulation zone(s) and sorting the extracted granules into three fractions; undersize granules with too small diameters compared to the desired size range, on-size granules with diameters within the desired size range, and oversize granules with too large diameters compared to the desired size range, passing the fraction of on-size granules to post-processing treatment for forming the product granules, removing the oversize, typically by reducing the size of at least a

  • Patent number: 7837758
Abstract: Method for the production of solid urea ammonium sulphate (UAS) fertilizers from sulphuric acid, ammonia and urea, wherein free ammonia and/or as carbamate to be decomposed from urea production, is reacted with sulphuric acid without substantially decomposing urea in the process stream, where after urea and ammonium sulphate (AS) is mixed and particulated. The point of integration of the ammonium sulphate production in the urea production process is chosen according to the desired product composition. The reaction is carried out in a pipe reactor where the head of the reactor enhanced the chemical reaction between sulphuric acid and ammonia and the urea solution surrounds the ammonium sulphate formation.

  • Publication number: 20080145283
Abstract: Pipe reactor, especially for production of UAS, comprising a tubular body 14 and a reactor head 1, wherein the reactor head has means (3,3A) for axial injection of acid, means (2,2A) for injection of ammonia, means (7) for supply of urea and a reaction chamber (zone 3A, 2A), where acid and ammonia can react before coming into contact with urea.
