  • Patent number: 11926349
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle displaceable along aerial conductors of an electricity transmission line. The vehicle includes a body having arms. Each arm has a first end pivotably mounted to the body and a second distal end. A motorized wheel is mounted to each arm to engage one of the conductors to displace the vehicle. Support rotors have at least two blades. Each blade has an arm portion extending from the support rotor and a contact portion extending from the arm portion to engage one of the conductors to temporarily support the vehicle. An arm displacement mechanism engages the arms, and is operable to displace the arms in a direction transverse to a direction of travel of the vehicle to move the arms together and apart.

  • Publication number: 20230419701
Abstract: A method of identifying a match for a model string in an image includes performing optical character recognition on the image to identify a candidate string including a plurality of candidate characters. A minimum edit cost is determined between the candidate string and the model string, the model string including a plurality of model characters. The minimum edit cost represents a cost of edit operations performed on the candidate string to satisfy characteristics of the model string. If there is a missing or invalid candidate character in the candidate string, the minimum edit cost includes a special cost of an edit operation for identifying the missing or invalid candidate character. If based on the minimum edit cost the candidate string is a match for the model string, a partial string corresponding to the candidate string including a label representing the missing or invalid character is returned as the output string.

  • Publication number: 20230419060
Abstract: A method for decoding a barcode included in at least one scan line into a string of decoded characters. The method includes for each of at least one barcode character set, establishing a validation threshold based, at least in part, on a degree of difference found among a respective set of reference barcode symbols employed in representing a respective set of reference characters included in the barcode character set with which the respective validation threshold is associated. Each detected barcode symbol is decoded into a decoded character for a corresponding character position in the string using a selected character set. A best-matching symbol is identified for the detected barcode symbol among the respective set of reference barcode symbols of the selected character set. A best-matched character that is represented by the best-matching symbol is validated as the decoded character using the respective validation threshold established for the selected character set.

  • Publication number: 20230216322
Abstract: A system for cycling battery cells with pressure regulation is disclosed. The system comprises supports for receiving the battery cells which insert in a clamping arrangement having jaws moving one with respect to the other by an actuator operated by a controller in order to apply a pressure in a pressure application axis to the cells. A pressure sensor measures the pressure applied to the cells while a cycling module connected to the cells performs their cycling and measures their charge and discharge level. A programmable processing unit ensures a control of the pressure and, if desired, the temperature applied to the cells according to a programmed cycling mode and records data representative of the pressure and other cycling measurements.

  • Patent number: 10976266
Abstract: An apparatus for inspecting a component of an aerial power line. A frame has a support member extending along a support member axis. The support member is mountable about the power line in proximity to the component. The support member is rotatable about the line axis upon being mounted about the power line. A stabilizing member is mountable to a stabilizing structure separate from the power line. The stabilizing member is mountable to the support member to rotate the support member about the line axis. A source of electromagnetic imaging energy is mounted to the support member and has an emitter to face the component. A detector is mounted to the support member at a distance from the source to position the component between the source and the detector. The source and/or the detector is displaceable along the support member axis to vary the distance separating the detector and source.
