  • Publication number: 20060166856
Abstract: The invention relates to a fragrance composition which has, as fixative, at least one ionic liquid, and to the preparation and use thereof. The fragrance compositions according to the invention are advantageous since the ionic liquid, being a polar solvent which has as it were no vapor pressure, can delay the evaporation of the base scent components in a targeted manner. The large choice of ionic liquids allows the rate of evaporation of the scent components to be adjusted precisely. Since the polarity of the ionic liquids can be varied by means of the structure of the cations and/or anions within wide ranges, the ionic liquids used as fixative can be matched precisely to the chemicophysical and/or olfactory requirements of the scent component.

Abstract: An apparatus and system for mixing and separating ozonated water is provided. The apparatus is especially useful as a component of a system for cycling sanitizing ozonated water to a body of water such as a pool, spa or pond. The apparatus generally includes a separating vessel including a mixing tower, preferably located substantially entirely within the separating vessel and including a diffuser element for enhancing mixing of ozonated water without increasing turbulence in the separating vessel. Preferably, the apparatus includes a seal mechanism that substantially prevents liquid water from escaping the separating vessel with vented off-gas. The invention further provides an ozone destruct assembly including a condensate collection portion, and may also include a return line for passing a treated off-gas into the body of water.

  • Patent number: 7018136
Abstract: Method for installing a duct where an existing longitudinal member is present along a section over which the duct is to be installed. The longitudinal member is utilized as a guide for the duct. The tape-shaped element is closed around the longitudinal element through mating of complementary coupling devices longitudinally situated along the tape-shaped member so as to form a duct, with the coupled tape-shaped element then being propelled along the longitudinal element to extend the duct. The tape-shaped element can house an optical fiber cable. Through use of such a tape-shaped element, the duct, illustratively housing an optical fiber cable, can be formed around an existing (e.g. copper) telecommunications cable with any need to interrupt or remove that cable.
