  • Publication number: 20090099021
Abstract: Urea Phosphite is a new composition of matter useful as a fertilizer and as a fungicide. It is made by reacting phosphorous acid with urea. Urea Phosphite is characterized by being a liquid produced in an unprocessed reaction, and by having phosphite as a phosphorus source and urea as a nitrogen source. The reaction products may be separated, blended with an admix and spray dried, or dissolved in water. This new composition of matter avoids the pitfalls of pathological acerbation reported with the use of phosphite fertilizers and fungicides. When blended with an admix, this new composition is also believed to have the ability to break dormancy in temperate fruiting crops.

Abstract: An improved method of making a substituted pyrazolopyrimidine. The method comprises reacting a aminopyrazole compound or a salt thereof with a substituted 1-oxo-2-propenyl-arene(-heterocycle) or a salt thereof under acidic conditions in a reaction medium including a two-phase mixture of an aqueous solution and a water-immiscible organic liquid. Specific substituted pyrazolopyrimidines include N-[3-(3-cyanopyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-7-yl)phenyl]-N-ethylacetamide and N-methyl-N-(3-{3-[2-thienyl-carbonyl]-pyrazolo[1,5-a]-pyrimidin-7-yl}phenyl)acetamide.

  • Patent number: 7436405
Abstract: Plural levels of detail of a terrain are stored in memory in regular grids. In one such example, a terrain is cached in a set of nested regular grids obtained from the plural levels as a function of distance from a viewpoint. In one such example, the plural levels of detail of terrain comprise terrain elevation and texture images. If the viewpoint moves relative to the terrain, the nested regular grids are incrementally refilled relative to the viewpoints movement in the terrain. In one such example, a transition region is introduced to help blend between grid levels. The regular grids are stored as vertex buffers in video memory in one example. In one such example, a vertex data includes an elevation values from another grid level for efficient grid level boundary blending.

  • Publication number: 20080181232
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, a computer program product and a system for managing virtual instances of a physical port attached to a network. The method is based on the Fibre Channel N_Port virtualisation for a physical Fibre Channel N_Port. Multiple virtual Fibre Channel adapters share a single physical N_Port among multiple operating system instances. The invention discloses means for the automatic and persistent generation and administration of unique Worldwide Port Names needed for the N_Port virtualisation.

  • Patent number: 7355818
Abstract: A method for attaching a printed circuit card assembly to an actuator assembly in a disc drive comprises forming one or more pins integrally with the actuator assembly, inserting each pin through a corresponding pin opening in the printed circuit card assembly, and attaching the pins to the printed circuit card assembly. The pins may be attached to the printed circuit card assembly by a soldering process, or alternatively, pressure may be applied to a top surface of the pins to cause them to deform over the printed circuit card assembly, thereby securing the printed circuit card assembly to the actuator assembly. A disc drive in accordance with a preferred embodiment of this invention has an actuator assembly with one or more integral pins and a printed circuit card assembly attached to the integral pins.

  • Patent number: 7340949
Abstract: A precipitation measurement device measures a precipitation rate of falling precipitation. A first probe is exposed to the falling precipitation. A first temperature sensor detects a first probe temperature. A second probe is shielded from the falling precipitation. A second temperature sensor detects a second probe temperature. A heating element heats the first probe and the second probe when turned on, but not when turned off. After being heated and when the heating element is turned off, the first probe cools at a first temperature drop rate, and the second probe cools at a second temperature drop rate. Circuitry processes a difference between the first temperature drop rate and the second temperature drop rate to determine the precipitation rate of the falling precipitation.

  • Publication number: 20080052140
Abstract: A user can audition creatives with in a snapshot of a proposed web page of a publisher website in the local application. Multiple snapshots of proposed pages for placement may be downloaded from publisher web sites and stored in a local library. The user can replace existing advertisements or other creatives and the corresponding HTML code with proposed creatives to determine which creatives will provide the best contextual fit for the proposed web site and page. The graphical nature of the application enables the user to drag and drop a creative from a local palette selected from a creatives library onto a web page snapshot.
