  • Patent number: 6843508
Abstract: A hydraulic device having a nut part with a threaded hole which has an internal screw thread with a defined nominal diameter and with a defined, uniform pitch, and having a screw part which has an external screw thread with the same nominal diameter as the threaded hole and with a defined, uniform pitch, which is screwed into the threaded hole. (In hydraulic devices, screw parts, in particular nozzle bodies, are generally adhesively bonded in place, in order to prevent them from becoming detached. Adhesive bonding has certain drawbacks, since the screw threads have to be free of grease, and in the case of nozzles there is a risk of blockages, adhesive can enter the hydraulic circuit and also process reliability is not ensured during application.) There is provided a slight difference between the pitch of the internal screw thread of the nut part and the pitch of the external screw thread of the screw part.

  • Patent number: 6820645
Abstract: An unlockable non-return valve reduces the tendency of the poppet piston to jam by providing a first insert that has a guide diameter for the poppet piston over just a short section of its end side facing the piston collar, and wherein a supporting ring is arranged axially between the high-pressure seal and the first insert in a receiving element, the diameter of which is substantially smaller than the outside diameters of the inserts, the supporting ring likewise being produced from a metallic material having good sliding properties and being produced with a narrow clearance from the end section of the poppet piston and with a large radial clearance from the receiving element.

  • Patent number: 6822953
Abstract: A method for transmitting radio signals and a receiver for receiving radio signals are described which are used to present a radio station which is transmitted on multiple frequencies with the data on the frequency that has the best signal quality. Via received radio signals the receiver is provided a list of all the frequencies on which radio stations are transmitted, the receiver checking each frequency to determine whether the frequency belongs to the radio station selected by the user and whether the signal quality is better than that which is used for the presentation of the radio station. Test symbols having pilots and useful data signals are used to determine the signal quality. An identification number for the radio station is determined from the useful data signals of the test symbols before the signal quality is checked and a channel estimate is made via the pilots. The test symbols are modulated with coherent QPSK. A test symbol is recognized in the data flow by a different protective interval.

  • Publication number: 20040094207
Abstract: The invention relates to an unlockable non-return valve which is intended to be used for very high system pressures, and to a valve housing having a continuous receiving bore located on a valve axis, a poppet piston which can be acted upon at a piston collar by a control pressure in order to unlock a closing element and, on both sides of the piston collar, is guided on end sections of at least approximately identical diameters in the direction of the valve axis. Two inserts are placed into the receiving bore on each side of the piston collar, into which the poppet piston dips with an end section, the end section being guided in a first insert which is close to the piston collar and is manufactured from a metallic material having good sliding properties, and a second insert following the first insert has a high-pressure seal which bears radially against the end section of the poppet piston and is supported axially by the first insert.

  • Publication number: 20030162512
Abstract: A method for adjusting transmission parameters of a transmitter for digital radio signals, preferably broadcast signals, is proposed, in which context a receiving apparatus receives the digital radio signals emitted by the transmitter and transfers data to the transmitter via a return channel, transfer data and reception parameters being contained in the data. The transmitter then optimizes the transmission parameters as a function of these data. It is possible in this context that in the data, the transfer data either contain the received digital radio signals, or already have evaluation data from the receiving apparatus. The method is suitable in particular for digital radio signals that are transferred below 30 MHz. The return channel can be operated either in simplex mode from the receiving apparatus to the transmitter, or in duplex mode.

  • Publication number: 20030152020
Abstract: A method of transmitting digital data by radio signals in orthogonal frequency division multiplex (OFDM). Digital data is divided into error protection classes and the power level of the digital data is altered according to the particular error protection class. In addition to the data thus altered, error protection class data is transmitted in a separate logic channel. By using this error protection class data, a reception device is able to reverse this change in power level and perform a correct demodulation. The error protection class data is generated on the basis of the number, length and transmission reliability of the error protection classes and on the basis of transmission parameters. The digital data, divided into frames, is first assigned to services, and then these services are assigned to a corresponding error protection class.

  • Publication number: 20030134475
Abstract: A memory layer intended for trapping charge carriers over a source region and a drain region is interrupted over the channel so that a diffusion of the charge carriers, which are trapped over the source region and over the drain region, is prevented. The memory layer is limited to regions over the parts of the source region and of the drain region facing the channel and is embedded all around in oxide.

  • Publication number: 20030091119
Abstract: A method of coded modulation of digital data is described, the digital data being divided into parallel signal streams, and the useful bits then being channel coded at different code rates according to their error susceptibility. The useful bits channel coded differently in this way are then scrambled separately in time. The different code rates used and the respective number per transmission frame of the useful bits channel coded at different code rates are signaled to the receivers, so that the receiver is able to perform the descrambling and channel decoding.

  • Patent number: 4436230
Abstract: A device for providing pulsation-free feeding of a liquid medium from a supply container to a consuming device for use in a road-marking machine is disclosed. Two statically-operating reciprocating-piston pumps are arranged between the supply container and the consuming device such that when one pump is on suction stroke, the other is on a feed stroke. The pump flow rate is proportional to the drive speed of the road-marking machine and the feed flow of each pump has zones which overlap the other. The feed sides of the pumps are connected to a change-over means which alternately connects delivery flows from the pumps to the consuming device and also connects the pressure side of the pumps simultaneously to the consuming device and to the supply container, which prevents pressure flow fluctuations as the back-pressure to each pump is the same.
