Abstract: A method includes determining a set of identigens for each word of at least some words of a string of words of a query to produce a plurality of sets of identigens. The method further includes interpreting, based on a first knowledge database, the plurality of sets of identigens to produce a first entigen group and generating a first preliminary query response based on the first entigen group. The method further includes interpreting, based on a second knowledge database, the plurality of sets of identigens to produce a second entigen group and generating a second preliminary query response based on the second entigen group. The method further includes comparing the first and second preliminary query responses and when the first preliminary query response and the second preliminary query response are divergent, resolving inconsistencies between the first and second preliminary query responses to produce a final query response.

Abstract: A method includes selecting an entigen group from a knowledge database. The entigen group is a most likely meaning of a phrase of a string of words. An entigen of the entigen group corresponds to a selected identigen from a set of identigens regarding a word of the string of words. The set of identigens represent different meanings of the word. The method further includes identifying other entigen groups of alternate phrases having the most likely meaning from the knowledge database. The alternate phrases are different permutations of the string of words. The method further includes determining a dominant digital representation of a human reaction of the other entigen groups and generating a digital representation of a human reaction for the entigen group based on the dominant digital representation of a human reaction.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, an information obfuscation service may be incorporated directly into the main applications processor of a portable computing device such that the applications processor and its relevant storage peripherals may be securely shared via a virtualization firmware module, avoiding the use of specialized hardware or major modifications of the operating system. The virtualizing and obfuscating storage firmware module may enable a much higher level of assurance in information-at-rest protection while using only the memory protection and privilege mode facilities inherent in common portable device applications microprocessors. The virtualizing and obfuscating storage firmware may interpose storage accesses originating from the operating system. This interposition may be performed seamlessly, without explicit knowledge of the operating system.

Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to sample preparation devices useful for affinity capture and purification that include one or more internal structures that comprise a reservoir, a well, a fluid passageway, sorbent particles, and a filter element that blocks passage of the affinity sorbent particles, which sample preparation devices combine the attributes of both dispersive and flow through designs into a single sample preparation device. The present disclosure also pertains to kits that contain and methods that use such sample preparation devices.

The elements may be evaluated to determine the task having a task a task parameter, such as conducting an appraisal. The task may comprise accepting an appraisal order, contacting a property owner, setting up a meeting, identifying comparable properties, confirming an appraisal time, submitting the appraisal report, or submitting a satisfaction survey. An appraiser database may be assessed to identify a group of appraisers having appraiser characteristics corresponding to the task parameter. Appraisal scores may be determined for the appraisers within the group of appraisers. The task may be assigned to an appraiser within the group of appraisers based upon the appraisal scores. Responsive to the task being assigned to the appraiser, an assignment notification may be provided to the appraiser.

The fly ring comprises a plurality of ring segments, each ring segment being laser cut. Each ring segment has a first end which overlaps a second end of an adjacent ring segment, forming a lapped joint. Each ring segment first and second end has at least two spaced apart through holes, the through holes of the first end being aligned with the through holes of the second end. A custom fastener extends through the first end and second end aligned through holes.

Abstract: Described is a chromatography column assembly that includes a permanently deformable outer tube, an intermediate tube, an inner tube and a sorbent bed disposed within the inner tube. The sorbent bed may be in the form of packed chromatographic particles or a porous monolithic structure. A radial seal is provided by one or more uniform radial crimps at longitudinal locations on the assembly. The uniform radial crimp compresses the outer tube and underlying intermediate tube onto the inner tube to achieve a high pressure liquid tight seal between the three tubes. The length and depth of each crimp is accurately formed to accommodate the requirements of the particular application. Leakage along the tubing assembly is prevented and void volume is reduced or eliminated. No external ferrule or ferrule swaging mechanism is needed; therefore the chromatography column assembly is easily adapted for use in various chromatographic column configurations.

The system may include at least one computer system configure to receive patient specific data regarding his pulmonary embolism status. The at least one computer system may be further configured to create a model of the patient's heart, with at least information of the two ventricles, and to determine the ratio of sizes of the ventricles. The system will then report such ratio to the clinician or report a risk index of clinical outcome for such patient.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device for a solid phase extraction comprising two or more of the sorbents to remove phospholipids and salts from a sample, to thereby eliminate matrix effects during mass spectrometry analysis. In particular, the sorbents includes at least one sorbent which is water-wettable and contains at least one hydrophobic component and at least one hydrophilic component and at least one of sorbent having a specific affinity for a matrix interference like phospholipids. Abstract: A solid substrate for the extraction, stabilization, and storage of proteins is provided. The substrate includes: a polysaccharide, such as melezitose under a substantially dry state. The substrate is configured to extract proteins from a sample and stabilize the extracted proteins in a dry format under ambient conditions for a prolonged period of time. Methods for collecting and recovering the proteins stored in the dry solid substrate are also described.
