Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an airfoil assembly for a turbine engine and methods of assembly thereof. The airfoil assembly generally includes a composite airfoil and a spar. The composite airfoil has a pressure side and a suction side extending in an axial direction between a leading edge and a trailing edge defining a chordwise direction and extending radially between a root and a tip defining a spanwise direction and having a span-length. The spar includes a first portion including a first material and a second portion joined at an interface with the first portion. The second portion further includes a second material, different from the first material, joined to the first portion at an interface. • Patent number: 11955899
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for sensing resonant circuit signals to enhance control in a resonant converter are described herein. A buffer circuit coupled in parallel with or across a resonant component (e.g., a transformer) input port avails a buffered primary port signal for use in resonant conversion. The buffered primary port signal is a comprehensive signal including information relating to both input voltage and input power; and it may be used to advantageously enhance switching and power conversion in an inductor-inductor capacitor (LLC) converter. Additionally, the LLC converter uses a sense interface circuit to provide a scaled replica of the buffered primary port signal. In one example the scaled replica can advantageously be used with a secondary side controller to control output power based on the comprehensive information contained within the buffered primary port signal.

  • Publication number: 20240108407
Abstract: A system for treating various medical conditions in humans includes a medical or therapeutic laser operating at wavelengths in the near infrared range of between 1250 nm-1267 nm, with a target wavelength of 1260 nm, at power levels between 2 Watts and 60 Watts, and for a period not to exceed 60 seconds per dose. The emitted laser light energizes, e.g., the stem cell niche or mitochondria of the human tissue to which it is applied, both directly and indirectly via activation of cell signaling intermediaries including but not limited to heat shock proteins, thereby stimulating cell activity to promote healing and reduce pain. In this specific wavelength range, water absorption of the laser light energy is plateaued which effectively acts as a conduit allowing the laser light energy to be transferred deeper into the tissue without causing thermal damage to the skin and tissue.
