  • Patent number: 11917365
Abstract: Systems and methods of audio processing and control for improved audibility and performance in a parametric loudspeaker system. The parametric loudspeaker system includes a parametric loudspeaker providing a capacitive load, an output stage having a plurality of switches interconnected in a bridge configuration and connected to the capacitive load of the parametric loudspeaker, and a controller operative to generate a series of pulse width modulation (PWM) pulses, and to generate a plurality of control signals synchronized with the series of PWM pulses for switchingly controlling the plurality of switches in the bridge configuration, thereby driving the capacitive load of the parametric loudspeaker.

  • Patent number: 11836519
Abstract: A method of marshalling existing software applications to automatically execute a task in a cloud environment includes generating actions that together execute the task; passing the actions to code generation services, where each of the code generation services is associated with a corresponding software application. Each of the code generation services is configured to select a subset of the actions that can be executed by the corresponding software application, and to generate second actions to be executed by the corresponding software application that implement the subset of the actions. The method also includes providing a job definition for the task including each of the second actions for each of the software applications.

  • Patent number: 11837213
Abstract: An ultrasonic transducer including a membrane film and a perforated baseplate. The baseplate can have a conductive surface with a plurality of perforations formed through the baseplate. The membrane film can have a conductive surface and be positioned under tension proximate to the perforations formed through the baseplate. The tension of the membrane film can be controlled to provide a restoring force to counteract the moving mass of the membrane film, and the moving mass of air in the perforations of the baseplate. By selecting the diameter(s) of the perforations of the baseplate, the thickness of the baseplate, the thickness of the membrane film, the tension of the membrane film, and/or the bending stiffness of the membrane film, a wide bandpass frequency response of the ultrasonic transducer centered at an ultrasonic frequency of interest can be obtained and tailored to a desired application.

  • Publication number: 20230367883
Abstract: Systems are provided for generating, modifying and using SBOMs for facilitating risk assessment and threat mitigation for corresponding programs, and particularly for large programming builds. The creation and modification of the SBOMs includes processes for omitting declarations referenced in chunk SBOMs of program chunks incorporated into a final programming build associated with a build SBOM, but which are not actually utilized by the final programming build, as well as processes for adding new declarations for code segments that are not declared in the related chunk SBOMs, even though the code segments are utilized by the final programming build. Systems are also configured to use SBOMs in combination with configuration restriction records to assess and resolve threat events in a manner that can prevent unnecessary remedial actions for threat events that appear to be relevant to one or more files or dependencies incorporated into a program.

  • Publication number: 20230305844
Abstract: Various techniques for accelerating dynamic programming algorithms are provided. For example, a fused addition and comparison instruction, a three-operand comparison instruction, and a two-operand comparison instruction are used to accelerate a Needleman-Wunsch algorithm that determines an optimized global alignment of subsequences over two entire sequences. In another example, the fused addition and comparison instruction is used in an innermost loop of a Floyd-Warshall algorithm to reduce the number of instructions required to determine shortest paths between pairs of vertices in a graph. In another example, a two-way single instruction multiple data (SIMD) floating point variant of the three-operand comparison instruction is used to reduce the number of instructions required to determine the median of an array of floating point values.

  • Patent number: 11706571
Abstract: Ultrasonic transducers that are capable of generating increased levels of ultrasound, as well as receiving ultrasonic waves with increased sensitivity. The ultrasonic transducers include a back cover, a protective front cover, a backplate, and a vibrator film layer disposed between the backplate and the protective front cover. The backplate includes a plurality of grooves formed on a surface thereof facing the vibrator film layer. Each groove includes upper edges having cross-sectional contours that gradually tend toward the deepest part of the groove to allow a larger area of the backplate to be closer to the vibrator film layer, thereby increasing the resulting electric field, and, consequently, increasing the output power and sensitivity of the ultrasonic transducer.
