  • Patent number: 11693079
Abstract: What is disclosed is a device for determining a piece of information on a position of a transmitter, comprising an antenna device, a signal processing device and a data processing device. Thus, the antenna device comprises several different directional characteristics, the directional characteristics each relating to at least a set of spatially different receive sensitivities of the antenna device. The antenna device receives signals from the transmitter with different directional characteristics, the signal processing device processing the signals received and establishing a respective amplitude value of a field strength. The data processing device establishes the information on the position of the transmitter based on the directional characteristics and the amplitude values having been established for the associated signals received. Additionally, a corresponding method is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11346915
Abstract: What is disclosed is a device for determining a piece of information on a position of a transmitter, having an antenna device and a data processing device. The antenna device receives signals emanating from the transmitter and has a distinguished directional characteristic which relates to a set of spatially different receive sensitivities of the antenna device. The distinguished directional characteristic has a sensitivity minimum associated to a spatial detection region. The data processing device evaluates the signals received from the antenna device with the distinguished directional characteristic, as regards the position of the transmitter relative to the detection region. In addition, a corresponding method is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11181604
Abstract: An apparatus for determining information on a position of a transmitter. In one example, the apparatus includes an antenna apparatus, a control apparatus and a data processing apparatus. The antenna apparatus includes several different directional characteristics, wherein the directional characteristics are each related to an amount of spatially different receive sensitivities of the antenna apparatus. The control apparatus influences the antenna apparatus such that at least one of the directional characteristics of the antenna apparatus is activated. With the activated directional characteristic, the antenna apparatus receives a signal originating from the transmitter. The data processing apparatus processes the received signal and the amount of spatially different receive sensitivities allocated to the related activated directional characteristic to an amount of weighted receive values and determines the information on the position of the transmitter therefrom.

  • Patent number: 9407228
Abstract: A receiver stage for receiving a receive signal comprises M receiving paths, each receiving path comprises a signal processor and K comparators. The signal processors of the M receiving paths are configured to generate, for each of the M receiving paths, an amplified version of the receive signal, such that an amplification gain of the respective receiving path increases from a first of the M receiving paths to a last of the M receiving paths. For each of the M receiving paths the K comparators of the respective receiving paths are configured to compare the amplified receive signal of the respective receiving path with a respective threshold value. For each of the M receiving paths the threshold value increases from a first of the K comparators to the last of the K comparators.
