  • Patent number: 8953718
Abstract: A receiver assembly for the wireless reception of data that are modulated onto a carrier signal includes an analog receiver, an evaluating device and a control device. The control device controls the receiver by means of sampling pulses such that the receiver is activated during the sampling pulses and is ready to receive transmission signals and is deactivated during the sampling pauses. The evaluating device generates a data bit sequence from the received signals that are supplied by the receiver during the sampling pulses. The control device is further designed to actuate the receiver between phases having differing sampling frequency ranges in dependence on at least one predefined switching criterion.

  • Publication number: 20140376666
Abstract: A receiver stage for receiving a receive signal comprises M receiving paths, each receiving path comprises a signal processor and K comparators. The signal processors of the M receiving paths are configured to generate, for each of the M receiving paths, an amplified version of the receive signal, such that an amplification gain of the respective receiving path increases from a first of the M receiving paths to a last of the M receiving paths. For each of the M receiving paths the K comparators of the respective receiving paths are configured to compare the amplified receive signal of the respective receiving path with a respective threshold value. For each of the M receiving paths the threshold value increases from a first of the K comparators to the last of the K comparators.

  • Patent number: 8738028
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a radio device for detecting a movement of at least one receiver, wherein the radio signals are sent from at least one stationary transmitter to the at least one receiver and the received signals are evaluated for determining a movement. The radio signals are designed as a specified bit sequence modulated onto a high-frequency carrier and are demodulated by the receiver to form a receiving sequence that is correlated to determine correspondence with the specified bit sequences stored as a reference sequence. Dependent on the correspondence or errors that can be determined by the correlation, quality indicators for the receiving field strength of the received radio signals are determined, wherein the radio signals having the specified bit sequence are sent from the transmitter having at least two different transmission powers in a series.

  • Publication number: 20140093019
Abstract: A receiver for receiving an RF signal transmitting a bit sequence representing a symbol is provided. The receiver includes an oscillator, a counter, at least one state machine and at least one correlator. The oscillator is configured to oscillate dependent on the received RF signal, wherein the oscillator signal is controlled to provide an oscillation signal based on the oscillation during a plurality of subsequent active periods. The counter is configured to provide a counter value describing threshold crossings of the oscillator signal for each of the active periods. The at least one state machine is connected to the counter and configured to output state values, each state value dependent on two subsequent counter values. The at least one correlator is configured to correlate the output state values with a predefined bit sequence and to output a value representing the symbol dependent on the correlation.
