  • Publication number: 20020004048
Abstract: Two Hepatitis C Virus envelope proteins (E1 and E2) are expressed without sialylation. Recombinant expression of these proteins in lower eukaryotes, or in mammalian cells in which terminal glycosylation is blocked, results in recombinant proteins which are more similar to native HCV glycoproteins. When isolated by GNA lectin affinity, the E1 and E2 proteins aggregate into virus-like particles.

  • Publication number: 20020004733
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for tracking transactions over a computer network is provided. An advertisement is provided to a user using a web client, such as a web browser, at a user node. The user selects the advertisement, e.g., by clicking on the advertisement, to request to an ad server for redirection to a transaction node associated with the advertisement. The ad server formats a cookie and provides to the user node. When the user requests a transaction after the redirection, the transaction node sends a transaction confirmation after performing the transaction. The transaction confirmation includes a command to record the transaction. In response to the command, the user node provides a query string and the cookie to the ad server for the transaction to be recorded.

  • Patent number: 6338159
Abstract: The present invention is a system, method, and computer readable medium for representing program event trace information in a way which is very compact and efficient, and yet supports a wide variety of queries regarding system performance. The tracing and reduction of the present invention may be dynamic, in which case information is obtained and added to the trace representation in real-time. Alternately, the tracing and reduction may be static, in which case a trace text file or binary file is obtained from a trace buffer, and the reduction takes place using the trace file as input. The trace information, whether obtained statically or dynamically, is represented as a tree of events. The present invention may be used to present many types of trace information in a compact manner which supports performance queries.
