  • Publication number: 20070180930
Abstract: A force sensing device has a single-component metal housing. The housing has an upper rigid housing part and a lower rigid housing part that are interconnected by way of U-shaped spring elements and can be elastically displaced along a displacement axis in relation to each other by the action of a force. The spring elements are symmetrically arranged in relation to a section that is parallel to the displacement axis. A deflection sensor is disposed between the upper and lower rigid housing parts, for detecting the relative displacement of the two rigid housing parts in relation to each other. The housing is produced using metal injection molding technology.

  • Patent number: 6843953
Abstract: In a method for producing fiber-reinforced plastic components made of dry fiber composite preforms by an injection method for injecting matrix material, the arrangement of the fiber composite preform on one surface of the preform resulting in a flow promoting device, on a tool, creates a first space by a gas-permeable and matrix-material-impermeable membrane surrounding the preforms. Formation of a second space arranged between the first space and the surroundings by a foil, which is impermeable to gaseous material and matrix material, is provided, with removal by suction, of air from the second space resulting in matrix material being sucked from a reservoir into the evacuated first space and with the flow promoting device causing distribution of the matrix material above the surface of the preform facing the flow promoting device, thus causing the matrix material to penetrate the preform vertically.

  • Publication number: 20040265406
Abstract: Production device and method for producing fiber-reinforced plastic components comprising a semi-finished prepreg product and a dry semi-finished textile product with an aeration and deaeration chamber and an exhaust line opening into the same for producing a vacuum and a semi-finished textile product chamber to receive a dry semi-finished textile product. Into the semi-finished textile product chamber an injection line for inserting resin opens, whereby a prepreg chamber for receiving a semi-finished prepreg product is provided. The prepreg chamber is located against the aeration and deaeration chamber in an air-permeable manner and the semi-finished textile product chamber is located against it at least in areas in an air-impermeable and resin-permeable manner. Due to the air-permeable membranes, a vacuum in the aeration and deaeration chamber generates a vacuum both in the prepreg chamber and in the semi-finished textile product chamber.

  • Publication number: 20030138602
Abstract: A method for producing preforms from fiber composite semi-finished products and polymer provides for use of the preforms as components after the curing process. Initially, on a working surface, a bonded fabric is formed by alternately placing layers of cut dry fiber composite semi-finished product sections and polymer layers with predetermined shapes on top of each other. A specified preform is formed from the bonded fabric by forming appropriate parts of this fabric and subsequently curing the parts. The polymer layers exhibit a shape that ensures bonding of cut semi-finished product sections in their overlapping areas. The polymer layers contain local recesses in order to minimize shearing stress between the semi-finished product layers in areas of the local recesses when forming the individual profile parts of the bonded fabric. A preform produced pursuant to this method results.

  • Publication number: 20030011094
Abstract: A method for producing fibre-reinforced plastic components made of dry fibre composite preforms by means of an injection method for injecting matrix material. Arrangement of the fibre composite preform (1) on one surface (11) of the preform (1) resulting in a flow promoting device (15), on a tool (3), creates a first space (10) by means of a gas-permeable and matrix-material-impermeable membrane (7) surrounding the preforms (1). Formation of a second space (27) situated between the first space and the surroundings by means of a foil (19) which is impermeable to gaseous material and matrix material, is provided, with removal by suction, of air from the second space (27) resulting in matrix material being sucked from a reservoir into the evacuated first space (10) and with the flow promoting device (15) causing distribution of the matrix material above the surface (11) of the preform (1) facing said flow promoting device (15), thus causing the matrix material to penetrate the preform (1) vertically.
