Abstract: A method, device and computer program product for name resolution in a collaborative environment may include receiving initiation of a collaboration from a user, where the collaboration includes actions from at least two applications. The method may also include determining an identity of the user initiating the collaboration. The method may further include retrieving an alias of the user and attaching the alias of the user to the collaboration.

Abstract: Graphical objects presented by a computer system are captured by monitoring execution of an application on the computer system, and capturing one or more graphical objects of a graphical user image presented by the computer system and associated with the application. The one or more graphical objects are captured automatically in accordance with a pre-defined set of rules for the application.

Abstract: A trust relationship may be established between a first email user and at least a second email user. At least one email message received by the second user is automatically propagated to the first user based upon, at least in part, the trust relationship.

Abstract: A method and computer program product includes calculating a score for one or more communication sessions on a communication device, associating the score with the one or more communication sessions, and measuring a performance metric on the communication device. The performance metric may be indicative of a load on the communication device, and may be caused, at least in part, by the one or more communication sessions. If the performance metric on the communication device falls outside an acceptable value, a number of participants in at least one of the one or more communication sessions may be reduced based on the score associated with the at least one of the one or more communication sessions.

Abstract: Annotating a document in a data processing system, wherein the document includes a first content section and a data structure, can include receiving a request to annotate the document, wherein the request comprises an annotation, and an identification of the document to annotate, and creating a second content section comprising the annotation. The data structure can be updated with a reference to the second content section thereby making the second content section available as an annotation in association with the document.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for synchronizing copies of a shared file used by different communication session participants is presented. A shared file that is used by a first communication session participant and a second communication session participant is identified. The first and second communication participants each use a separate copy of the shared file. In response to detecting a communication session between the first and second communication session participants, the separate copies of the shared file are automatically synchronized.

Abstract: A performance management method is operable for use with a performance management system linked to a telecommunication network. The method comprises receiving a problem report from a femtocell of a plurality of femtocells communicatively coupled to the telecommunication network. The femtocell is configured to provide communications from at least one mobile device to the telecommunication network through a broadband connection. The problem report identifies a fault being exhibited by a femtocell and a performance parameter identifying a degradation in the performance of the femtocell. The method includes analyzing the performance parameter for determining a corrective action to be performed in an environment linked to the femtocell. The method includes performing the corrective action in the environment linked to the femtocell.

Abstract: Online location sharing through an internet service search engine includes: receiving in a server a query from a first user, the query identifying a second user; querying multiple internet services with the server over a network for real-time information regarding the second user; and providing a consolidated view of responses received from the plurality of internet services to the first user with the server, the server being authorized by the second user to receive all information relevant to the second user contained in the responses; wherein the consolidated view of responses indicates an online location of the second user.

Abstract: An instant messaging system generates an instant messaging application user interface display object enabling the user to select one or more buddies, or a predefined group from their buddy list, and then to select a file to share with the selected buddies or group. The instant messaging system user interface displayed to each user also displays the list of files that are shared with that user. Abstract: Alerting a calling party in a Voice over IP (VoIP) setting that a called party might not be able to hear ring-tones. In response to a call arriving on an IP connection, the audible level of ring-tones that are generated by a microphone associated with a VoIP computer application is sampled, and responsive to the audible level of ring-tones being below a minimum threshold, a message is transmitting to the calling party via any available connection that the called party might be unable to hear the ring-tones.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system for motivating electronically-scheduled event attendance can include a set of attendance listening components, an attendance prompt, and an attendance prompting tool. The attendance listening components can monitor activities performed in a networked environment. The attendance prompt can represent an electronic message and feedback mechanism that is provided on an electronic device. The attendance prompting tool can interject the attendance prompt into an activity identified by an attendance listening component as being performed by a user-selected member of the networked environment. The attendance prompt can be associated with an electronically-scheduled event the user-selected member is to attend.

Abstract: Presence messages are managed for one or more members of a pre-defined group of e-mail users. An unavailability time period, during which a pre-defined group of e-mail users will be unavailable in the future, is established. A notice, which notifies the pre-defined group of e-mail users that an unavailability control instruction will be sent in the future to participating members of the group of e-mail users, is transmitted to the group of e-mail users. An acceptance signal, identifying the participating members, is received, indicating which members of the group of e-mail users agree to permit the unavailability control instruction to be received and implemented on their participating computers in the future. The unavailability control instruction is then transmitted to the participating computers at an initiation of the unavailability time period, in order to auto-generate an appropriate presence message for the participating members.

The first mood of the user and the second mood of the user are compared to determine a delta or change in mood of the user.

Abstract: A method of secure electronic message conveyance. The method can include, via a processor, receiving a request to forward an electronic message originally received by a first user to at least a second user. The method also can include, based on content contained in the electronic message, selecting from a plurality of approval entities at least one approval entity that is to determine whether the electronic message is approved to be forwarded to the at least a second user, and receiving from the selected approval entity an indication that indicates whether the electronic message is approved to be forwarded to the second user. The method further can include, responsive to the selected approval entity approving the forwarding of the electronic message to the second user, automatically forwarding the electronic message to the second user.
