  • Patent number: 6508610
Abstract: An apparatus for pneumatically conveying powder substances in a pipe system, wherein a volume is sucked in with reduced pressure and discharged with increased pressure for being passed further along, characterized in that the apparatus has within the pipe system at least one metering chamber which can be alternately filled and emptied by way of control member for metering the powder substance.

  • Patent number: 6325572
Abstract: A device for the pneumatic conveyance of particulate substance having a specific gravity of 0.1 to 15.0 g/cm2 and a particle size of between 0.1 to 300 &mgr;m includes a flat plate like filter element between a pump chamber and sources of positive and negative pressure. The flat plate filter element provides a desired pressure drop and is cleaned of particulate material during operation of the device upon application of positive pressure.

  • Publication number: 20010003568
Abstract: In an apparatus for pneumatically conveying powder substances in a pipe system, wherein a volume is sucked in with reduced pressure and discharged with increased pressure for being passed further along, provided within the pipe system is at least one metering chamber, which can be alternately filled and emptied by way of a control member, for metering the powder substance. Connected to the metering chamber are on the one hand—with the interposition of a filter—a gas pressure conduit and a suction conduit and on the other hand a feed conduit and a discharge conduit.

  • Patent number: 6010038
Abstract: In an apparatus for the volumetric metering of fluid, pasty and/or powdery substances, in particular for separating small amounts of substance from a delivery flow, by means of an adjustable-volume measurement chamber which is connected to a feed conduit and which is provided with an outlet, a capillary measurement conduit (22) is connected as the measurement chamber to a vacuum conduit (33). In particular cases the measurement conduit can be acted upon by conveyor air, but in the normal case it is provided with a metering needle which is displaceable therein and whose free needle end (19) delimits the measurement chamber at one end. In addition a movable sealing body (56) is to be associated as a closure element with the mouth opening (23) of the measurement conduit (22), that serves as the outlet, which sealing body can be connected to a closure device (50) which is limitedly rotatable about a pivot means (52).

  • Patent number: 4834589
Abstract: Apparatus and process for transferring pulverent material from a supply container to a delivery point comprises an elongate exhaust pipe having a first end and a second end with a filter near the second end, an intake pipe extending from the supply container to the first end of the exhaust pipe and a transfer pipe extending from the first end of the exhaust pipe to the delivery point. With the first end of the exhaust pipe connected with the intake pipe, suction is applied to the second end of the exhaust pipe to draw pulverent material from the supply container to and through the intake pipe into the exhaust pipe where it is blocked by the filter. The first end of the exhaust pipe is then connected with the transfer pipe and air under pressure is supplied to the second end of the exhaust pipe to propel the pulverent material from the exhaust pipe to and through the transfer pipe to the delivery point and to clear the filter.

  • Patent number: 4149292
Abstract: This machine for washing containers of all open types is adapted to be enclosed in a compartment and comprises a tray to which the container is detachably secured; the tray is pivoted to a frame trunnioned in turn to fixed bracket bearings; a rotary brush connected to a supply of cleaning liquid is adapted, when the container is tilted to a position in which its bottom facing the rotary brush tip is somewhat higher than its opening and the tray is rotatably driven by a peripheral roller, to engage the bottom and inner side faces of the container. The brush and cleaning liquid supply means are responsive to cylinder means so arranged that the machine can accomodate a wide range of container sizes and shapes.
