  • Patent number: 11585517
Abstract: A lighting module includes a heat sink with a sidewall and a partition defining two cavities, a LED light source disposed in one cavity to emit light, a driver module disposed in the other cavity with driver circuitry to provide electrical power to the light source, and an optical assembly to provide a desired emission profile. The optical assembly is field-changeable and includes a cover lens with snap-fit connectors to facilitate removal and replacement. The optical assembly further includes either a reflector coupled to the cover lens or an optical lens coupled to the heat sink via an optic holder. In some examples, the driver circuitry facilitates dimming of the light source. The heat sink also dissipates heat generated by the light source and the driver circuitry to maintain desired operating temperatures and thereby facilitate increased light output.

  • Patent number: 11588759
Abstract: A company may implement automated workflows for convenience of users or to reduce support costs. For example, allowing a user to change an address using an automated workflow may be faster or less expensive than with a human agent. Companies may provide support over different types of communications channels with different capabilities, such as voice channels and text channels. Instead of implementing different workflows for different channels, a company may separate aspects of the workflow that are common to different channels from aspects of the workflow that are different for different channels. For example, a workflow may be implemented to determine an action in response to a received communication where the action may be used with multiple channels. The action may then be used to select an action implementation that is specific to a channel.

  • Publication number: 20220363379
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for sequestering carbon stored in organic matter while minimizing the release of carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane (CH4) into the atmosphere, with the carbon (C) being stored as char or coal through the coalification process. Organic matter will be moved to submarine hydrothermal vent fields where the extreme heat in the water will drastically accelerate the degradation of the material and destroy microbes that normally consume the organic material and release the carbon as CO2 or CH4. The oxygen level in the heated water around the vents is extremely low. The water surrounding these vents can reach temperatures of 400° C. (750° F.). Exemplary implementations may include constructing hydrothermal borehole vents to harness the energy continuously released from the Earth's core in the form of volcanic heat.

  • Patent number: 11421331
Abstract: Apparatus for seawater acidification including an ion exchange, cathode and anode electrode compartments and cation-permeable membranes that separate the electrode compartments from the ion exchange compartment. Means is provided for feeding seawater through the ion exchange compartment and for feeding a dissociable liquid media through the anode and cathode electrode compartments. A cathode is located in the cathode electrode compartment and an anode is located in the anode electrode compartment and a means for application of current to the cathode and anode is provided. A method for the acidification of seawater by subjecting the seawater to an ion exchange reaction to exchange H+ ions for Na+ ions. Carbon dioxide may be extracted from the acidified seawater. • Publication number: 20220249234
Abstract: A pump is connected between penile cylinder(s) and a reservoir of a prosthesis. A squeezing pressure applied to the penile cylinder moves a first liquid volume out of the cylinder and into a first chamber of the pump, which displaces a piston inside of the pump. Displacement of the piston creates a vacuum space (a second chamber) between the piston and the housing of the pump, and a second liquid volume is drawn out of the reservoir and into the vacuum space. A return spring pushes the piston back to its starting position, which pushes both the first liquid volume and the second liquid volume out of the pump and into the penile cylinders.

  • Patent number: 11386259
Abstract: When processing a request containing personal information, personal information may be needed to respond to the request, but it may be desired to limit storage of personal information for privacy reasons. To accomplish both objectives, text of a message may be processed using multiple levels of redaction. A first level of redaction may replace digits of the text with a token so that sensitive numbers, such as credit card numbers or social security numbers are no longer present. A second level of redaction may replace one or more words of the text with a label indicating the text that was present, such as by replacing an address with a label indicating that an address was present or by replacing a credit card number with a label indicating that a credit card number was present.
