  • Patent number: 10515104
Abstract: A third-party company may assist companies in providing natural language interfaces for their customers. To implement a natural language interface for a company, a configuration may be received that includes information, such as a list intents, seed messages for the intents, and hierarchical information of the intents. An intent classifier may be trained using the configuration, and the natural language interface may be deployed for use with customers. Usage data of the natural language classifier may be collected and used to improve the natural language interface. Messages corresponding to an intent may be clustered into clusters of similar messages, and a prototype message may be obtained for each cluster to provide a human understandable description of the cluster. The information about the clusters may be used to improve the natural language interface, such as by creating a new intent with a cluster or moving a cluster to a different intent.

  • Publication number: 20190332658
Abstract: A neural network may be used to remove personal information from text (such as names, addresses, credit card numbers, or social security numbers), and replace the personal information with a label indicating the type or class of the removed information. The neural network may comprise multiple layers that compute a context vector for words of the text, compute label scores for words of the text using the context vectors, and select a label for each word using the label scores. Words corresponding to certain labels may be replaced with a label, such as replacing the digits of a credit card number with a label <cc_number>. The redacted text may then be presented to a person or stored for later processing.

  • Patent number: 10450661
Abstract: A method for using an electrochemical cell to continuously acidify alkaline water sources and recover carbon dioxide with simultaneous continuous hydrogen gas production. The electrochemical cell has a center compartment, an electrolyte-free anode compartment having a mesh anode in direct contact with an ion permeable membrane, an endblock in direct contact with the anode where the endblock provides a gas escape route behind the anode, an electrolyte-free cathode compartment having a mesh cathode in direct contact with an ion permeable membrane, and an endblock in direct contact with the cathode where the endblock provides a gas escape route behind the cathode. Current applied to the electrochemical cell for generating hydrogen gas also lowers the pH of the alkaline water to produce carbon dioxide with no additional current or power.

Abstract: Hydraulic bi-directional flow switches are disclosed. A disclosed example apparatus includes a piston disposed in a fluid channel between a first fluid connection and a second fluid connection, where the first and second fluid connections define a fluid pathway for hydraulic steering fluid. The example apparatus also includes a detector to detect a movement of the piston away from a default position of the piston, where the piston is to displace from the default position when the hydraulic steering fluid flows along the fluid pathway.

  • Patent number: 10425643
Abstract: A method and system for view optimization of a 360 degrees video is provided. The method includes generating two-dimensional video frame from the 360 degrees video. The macroblocks are generated for the two-dimensional video frame. A foveated region of interest for the two-dimensional video frame is defined based on a given view orientation. DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) coefficients are generated for the macroblocks. View adaptive DCT domain filtering is then performed on the DCT coefficients using the foveated region of interest. Quantization offset is calculated for the DCT coefficients using the foveated region of interest. The DCT coefficients are quantized using the quantization offset to generate encoded two-dimensional video frame for the view orientation. A new view orientation is then set as the given view orientation and steps of generating, performing, calculating, and quantizing are performed for each view orientation and each video frame to generate view optimized video.

  • Patent number: 10358983
Abstract: A system includes a model-based control system configured to receive data relating to parameters of a machinery via a plurality of sensors coupled to the machinery and select one or more models configured to generate a desired parameter of the machinery based on a determined relationship between the parameters and the desired parameter. The one or more models represent a performance of a device of the machinery. The model-based control system is configured to generate the desired parameter using the data and the one or more models control a plurality of actuators coupled to the machinery based on the desired parameter. Further, the model-based control system is configured to empirically tune the one or more models based on the data, the one or more parameters, and the desired parameter, compare the empirical tuning to a baseline tuning, and determine an operational state of the device based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 10332242
Abstract: Methods and system for reconstructing 360-degree video is disclosed. A video sequence V1 including a plurality of frames associated with spherical content at a first frame rate and a video sequence V2 including a plurality of frames associated with a predefined viewport at a second frame rate is received by a processor. The first frame rate is lower than the second frame rate. An interpolated video sequence V1? of the video sequence V1 is generated by creating a plurality of intermediate frames between a set of consecutive frames of the plurality of frames of the sequence V1 corresponding to the second frame rate of the video sequence V2. A pixel based blending of each intermediate frame of the plurality of the intermediate frames of sequence V1? with a corresponding frame of the plurality of frames the sequence V2 is performed to generate a fused video sequence Vm for displaying.

  • Publication number: 20190085472
Abstract: A method for the controlled removal of bicarbonate from alkaline water and its replacement with a strong base that is capable of chemically absorbing CO2 from the atmosphere as a carbonate and bicarbonate solution. This bicarbonate and carbonate solution is reprocessed in the central compartment of an electrolytic cation exchange module (E-CEM) to take advantage of the removal of CO2 from the air, and as an energetic byproduct of E-CEM dihydrogen production, and to regenerate the original strong base absorbent solution. Thus, this process is cyclical in nature, and no chemicals are needed except an initial source of alkaline water.
