  • Publication number: 20020070937
Abstract: A system and method for graphically displaying data from a plurality of selected data sets on a computer system including a display is disclosed. Each selected data set has a plurality of values corresponding to a plurality of parameter values. The method and system include determining a plurality of average values for a plurality of intervals. The plurality of average values are determined for each selected data set. Each of the plurality of average values is determined from a portion of the plurality of values. The portion of the plurality of values correspond to an interval of the plurality of intervals. Each of the plurality of intervals includes a portion of the plurality of parameter values. The method and system further include plotting the average value for each of the plurality of intervals on the display for each selected data set. The average value is depicted as a first symbol.

  • Patent number: 6144379
Abstract: A computer managed communication network with user interactive access via a plurality of display terminals and including a plurality of linked network objects with a system for managing said network in which values of a selected parameter are sensed respectively for each of a plurality of selected objects and stored. The stored data is presented in a graph display including a plurality of icons, each icon representing aspects of said values with respect to one of said selected objects. User interactive means for selecting one of said icons are provided together with means responsive to said selecting means for graphically presenting other aspects of said values. In the monitoring of networks, the invention may be used to track network servers which are monitored via a distribution graph in which icons representative of servers are linked to more detailed line graphs of such servers showing the changes in parameter values versus a time line parameter.

  • Patent number: 6088030
Abstract: Described is a mapping function and Graphic User Interface (GUI) for use in an interactive computer system. The GUI is generated by a computer program and includes a view of events or objects associated icons and graphical representations of the objects. A different symbol is overlaid on each icon and a common symbol is overlaid on the graph that relates to the object and associated icon. Consequently, mapping is provided between the objects and graph lines and a viewer can easily associate an object with its associated graph.

  • Patent number: 6030348
Abstract: A leveling device capable of adjusting the inclination of a member, such as a vertical support post of a laser beam guidance apparatus for use in performing biopsies, in orthogonal first and second planes. The device has a fixed base plate upon which an intermediate tilt plate is rotatably supported so as to allow rotation of the intermediate tilt plate in the first plane. An upper tilt plate is rotatably supported on the intermediate tilt plate so as to allow rotation of the upper tilt plate in the second plane. A first adjusting screw provides adjustment of the rotation of the intermediate tilt plate in the first plane by imparting a force that counterbalances a spring force that also acts on the intermediate tilt plate. A second adjusting screw provides adjustment of the rotation of the upper tilt plate in the second plane by imparting a force that counterbalances a spring force that also acts on the upper tilt plate.

  • Patent number: 6013035
Abstract: A device for directing and supporting a laser during laser guided biopsies. The device comprises a track attached to a computed tomography table. A vertically extending post is slidably mounted on the track so that the post can be moved parallel to the axis of the table. A rail is slidably mounted on the post and extends across the width of the table. A first bracket is slidably mounted on the rail and a first rotary stage is attached to the bracket that allows rotation in one vertical plane. A second bracket is attached to the first rotary stage. A second rotary stage that allows rotation in a second vertical plane, which is perpendicular to the first vertical plane, is attached to the second bracket. A laser is mounted on the second rotary stage, thereby allowing the laser's beam to be set at a compound angle by rotation of the two rotary stages.

  • Patent number: 5617421
Abstract: A method for establishing and maintaining virtual network domains in a segmented computer network having a first domain and a second domain. A first table entry for a first endstation in a first forwarding table of a first switching fabric circuit is created. The first table entry includes domain information specifying that the first endstation is in the first domain and port information specifying that the first endstation is coupled to a first port. A packet having the first endstation as a source is received by the first port of the first switching fabric circuit, and a destination for the packet is determined. If the packet specifies a second endstation of the first domain as the destination, the packet is forwarded to the second endstation. If the destination for the packet specifies more than one endstation, the domain of the source of the packet is determined, and the packet is forwarded to the specified endstations of the first domain.

  • Patent number: 4054696
Abstract: An artificial and mechanical tree which includes a pole member and a plurality of vertical, accordion-type limb sections is disclosed. Each of the tree limb sections has the tree limbs attached to a vertically collapsible and expandable tubular member which is concentric with and removably attached in the expanded configuration to the pole member.

  • Patent number: 3957727
Abstract: New epoxy resins are described having high strength and ductility. The novel feature of these new resins is that a normal epoxy resin component is cross-linked with a novel mixture of methyl endomethylene tetrahydrophthalic acid and methyl endomethylene tetrahydrophthalic anhydride. An additional usual anhydride, e.g. phthalic anhydride, may also be present. The products are excellent electrical insulators and are suitable for casting, vacuum filling, laminating, binding, etc.
