  • Patent number: 5653098
Abstract: For the direct spinning of drafting frame sliver, a one-sided ring spinning machine is provided, in the case of which the spinning stations are arranged on one side of the machine and the depositing sites for the cans containing the sliver to be spun are arranged on the other side of the machine. For the withdrawing of the slivers, a drivable deflecting guide is provided closely above the cans which is situated at least approximately in the same horizontal plane as the drivable feeding rollers of the pertaining drafting units. Preferably, the deflecting guide is formed by a transport belt which transports the slivers from the cans to the drafting units. Preferably, the transport belt has a linear course and is driven by the drivable feeding roller of the pertaining drafting unit.

  • Patent number: 5642611
Abstract: In the case of a mounting for an opening roller comprising a plurality of teeth, all the tooth faces and the tooth backs are inclined in rotational direction. At their tips, the tooth faces form an angle relative to an opening roller radial plane of between 10.degree. and 30.degree. . The tooth backs are more inclined to the radial plane at the tooth tips than at the tooth bases. The tooth backs are inclined at the tooth tips in such a way that an extension of the tangent to the tooth back at the tooth tip intersects the tooth face of the following tooth at an intersecting point which is between one-fifth and four-fifths of the tooth height of the following tooth. At least one-half of a tooth height from the tooth tip to the tooth base has a roller circumferential direction width which is at least as large as the distance between the back of the respective tooth and the face of a next adjacent following tooth.

  • Patent number: 5566541
Abstract: An opening roller for an open-end spinning device is provided with a fitting of combing teeth. The fitting comprises zones with reduced, or entirely without, combing-out effect. The zones with reduced or entirely without combing-out effect are so designed and arranged relative to the combing teeth on the fitting that the fibers are combed out evenly of the sliver. A careful treatment of the fibers without a variation in yarn evenness is hereby achieved.

  • Patent number: 5433068
Abstract: In the case of a device for open-end rotor spinning, the axles of the spinning rotor, the supply roller and the opening roller--in plan view--are arranged in parallel planes to each other. In side view the axles of the supply roller and the opening roller are arranged inclined compared to the horizontal axle of the spinning rotor. A driving shaft extends perpendicularly to the above mentioned planes and drives the supply roller with a worm and a worm gear. The axle of the drive shaft is also the swivel axis for a hinged housing which supports the supply roller and the opening roller, the hinged housing also containing the cover for the spinning rotor. The hinged housing is supported independently from the rotor housing and is detachable at right angles to the swivel axis. Both the opening roller and the supply roller are accessible from the operational side when the hinged housing is in spinning position.

  • Patent number: 5428949
Abstract: In the case of a fitting for an opening roller of an open-end spinning device, it is provided that several rows of teeth extend essentially in circumferential direction of the opening roller. The teeth rows are separated from each other by grooves. The lateral flanks of the teeth extend over the groove base in to the lateral flanks of the neighboring row of teeth. The lateral flanks of the teeth, as well as the groove base are provided with a structured surface. The teeth tips connecting the lateral flanks are not provided with this structured surface.

  • Patent number: 5423167
Abstract: In the case of a spinning machine comprising several spinning stations for the spinning of slivers fed in cans into yarns, drivable transport belts are provided which transport the slivers between the cans and the spinning stations. When bridging differences in height with respect to the horizontal line, the transport belts are arranged in such a sloped manner that the slivers rest on the transport belts because of their own weight. Lateral coverings against damaging air flows are preferably assigned to the transport belts.

  • Patent number: 5423176
Abstract: In the case of an opening roller ring member for spinning machines, teeth are integral with a ring-formed base body, the teeth being bounded by notches which extend essentially in axial direction, and by grooves which extend essentially in circumferential direction. The grooves are deeper than the notches. The lateral flanks of the teeth extend towards the tooth tip with a slope angle towards the radial line. The slope angle of the lateral flanks is smaller than the slope angle of the continuous lateral walls of the grooves, at least in the area of the teeth tips. There is a bend in the slope angle of the side walls of the grooves where the side walls join the slope angle of the lateral flanks, whereby the bend edge either coincides with the transition of the side walls into the lateral flanks, or is situated in the area of the lateral flanks.

  • Patent number: 5379488
Abstract: A sliver guiding arrangement for drafting units of spinning machines is provided with forcibly traversing sliver guides. Two sliver guides respectively which are assigned to adjacent slivers and which are connected in front of a wedge-shaped gap of a clamping roller pair, are connected with one another by a coupling member to form one structural member. The coupling member is driven via a driving device by a traversing rod to carry out traversing movements. The driving device, which bridges a distance between the traversing rod and the coupling member, is movable relative to the coupling member in the direction of the wedge-shaped gap. The structural member, which includes the sliver guides, is guided in parallel to the wedge-shaped gap on a sliding surface.

  • Patent number: 5372003
Abstract: In the case of a spinning machine for the spinning of yarns from slivers with a can feeding, the slivers are transported from the cans to the spinning stations by a belt which is provided with holding elements which hold the sliver on its surface. The holding elements may comprise surfaces which guide the sliver laterally by a frictional engagement or may have devices so that the sliver adheres with its supporting surface to the belt. Advantageously, two slivers are transported by one belt.
