  • Patent number: 6776435
Abstract: The present invention is directed to controlling a vehicle multistage actuatable occupant restraining system (14, 18). A crash sensor (32, 36) senses crash acceleration and provides a crash acceleration signal (110, 160) indicative thereof. Crash velocity and crash displacement are determined (118, 168) in response to the crash acceleration signal. A first stage (90, 94) of the multistage actuatable occupant restraining system is actuated when the determined crash velocity as a function of crash displacement exceeds a low threshold (130, 132, 180, 182). A crush zone accelerometer (40, 42) senses crash acceleration at a crush zone location. The crush zone acceleration as a function of the crash displacement is compared (226, 256) against a crush zone threshold (220, 222, 250, 252). The value of the low threshold (130, 180) is switched to a different value (132, 182) when the crush zone acceleration exceeds the crush zone threshold.

  • Publication number: 20040124182
Abstract: An apparatus of asynchronous electric discharge machine for wire cut adopted for use in machine industries employs a first electric discharge machine unit and a second electric discharge machine unit to provide electric energy to a cutting wire to generate alternate ignition and discharge on a work piece. The asynchronous operation uses two different discharge circuits in two different time sequences to reduce the probability of occurring discharge at the same spot and effectively reduce pause time, and prevent the cutting wire from rupturing, thereby to reduce production cost and improve operation efficiency.

  • Patent number: 6731206
Abstract: A voice system for announcing the type of failure when the basic input/output system (BIOS) program in the computer discovers an error during start-up. The voice system includes a pre-recorded voice integrated circuit and a voice output device. The BIOS program tests a plurality of peripheral devices. When errors are found in any peripheral device, a warning signal is sent to the pre-recorded voice integrated circuit. A corresponding error signal message is looked up in the pre-recorded voice integrated circuit and then the error signal message is transferred to the voice output device. A verbal failure message is announced through the voice output device. The error signal message includes all kinds of failures recorded in voice data format.

The controlled power site has a front end processor (FEP). The FEP at least has two network ports (an uplink network port and a downlink network port). The control center uses an optical fiber to connect the network ports of the FEP, and uses the network ports of the FEP to establish contact with another controlled power site. The network ports are connected with network ports of a preceding controlled power site and the next controlled power site for transmission of a normal/abnormal signal of an intelligent electricity device (IED) of the preceding controlled power site. The normal/abnormal signal is transmitted to the IED of the local controlled power site via an RS232 or RS485 port.

  • Patent number: 6619944
Abstract: An injection unit of injection machine operates to drive a time-belt pulley associated with a thrust bearing, a bevel ball-bearing, and a bearing nut to make a ball-bearing guiding screw move swiftly to in turn drive a movable plate to perform an injection stroke. The injection pressure transmitted backwards by a plasticized auger is sensed by a load bearer equipped with a pressure sensor something like a strain gauge. After an injection stroke, by means of another time-belt pulley and a shaft coupling, the plasticized auger is restored to its original position and ready for a next cyclic motion. During the cyclic injection process, the load bearer is in charge of sensing the pressure change and reckoning the back pressure in order to obtain the best injection quality.
