    Abstract: The invented equivalent-plane cross-coupling control method belongs to high-precision and high-efficiency intelligent multi-axis CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining filed, featured a three-axis cross-coupling controller based on the equivalent plane which can be used for improvement of the three-dimensional contour-following accuracy. This method first find the foot point from the actual motion position to the desired contour using a tangential back stepping based Newton method. Then, establish an equivalent plane which containing the spatial contouring-error vector by passing through the actual motion position and the tangential line at the foot point. After that, estimate the three-dimensional contouring error in a scalar form, thus controlling the signed error using a PID based two-axis cross-coupling controller.

    Abstract: A special end cutting edge attached cutter for carbon fiber reinforced polymer/plastic with designable micro-tooth configuration, having an end cutting edge, a peripheral cutting edge with variation inverse helical groove, a peripheral cutting edge with constant inverse helical groove and a shank. Two parallel V-shaped chip pockets are designed on the end cutting edge of the cutter in two cutting edge directions which are symmetrical around a cutter axis as a center. The structure may enhance chip removal performance during high-speed milling of impenetrable slots and impenetrable windows, reduce wear of the end cutting edge, conduct configuration design for micro-teeth of the peripheral cutting edge, reduce the cutting thickness of the micro-tooth cutting edges, and effectively solve the problem of damage of the micro-tooth edges. A section of peripheral cutting edge with variation left-hand inverse helical flute angle is designed near the end cutting edge.

    Abstract: A manifold for control of fluid and/or vapor flow between a container and a pump cartridge for a compounder system is provided. One or more manifolds may be disposed in a magazine configured to secure and align the manifolds with a plurality of ports in the cartridge. Each manifold may include a needle having forward and rear openings to a central bore. A needle housing may include a slot configured to receive a push rod for actuating the needle forward and backward. In a forward, engaged position, the openings in the needle may be disposed on opposite sides of a sealing member of the manifold to form a fluid pathway through the manifold. In a rearward, disengaged position, both the forward and rear openings in the needle may be disposed on the same side of the sealing member to prevent fluid and vapor from flowing through the manifold.

    Abstract: A kind of sawtooth structure with reversed cutting function and its drill series are specifically fitted for drilling carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP). The sawtooth structure is constructed by sawteeth and grooves located on the cutting edges of drill. And the sawtooth structure is helically arranged with a large helix angle around the axis of the drill. It can be divided into left-hand sawtooth structure and right-hand sawtooth structure by the helix angle. The bottom edges of the left-hand sawtooth function as cutting edges, and the rake angles are positive, while the top edges of the right-hand sawtooth are ground as positive rake angles. The sawtooth structure can be applied into multiple drilling tools, which proves to be universal. And it can effectively reduce delamination at both hole entry and hole exit as well as burrs defects. The series of drilling tools are double point angle drill, twist drill and stepped drill with sawtooth structure on the cutting edges.
