  • Patent number: 8482396
Abstract: A DPF controller (21) generates, as image information, a layout identifier (MEN) that specifies the layout of an image to be displayed on a liquid crystal display device (11), and an element image identifier (SEN) that specifies the display mode of element images that are being subjected to layout. When an SEN is newly determined and the newly determined SEN is equal to a previously determined SEN, the newly determined SEN is not output to a drawing controller (22).

  • Patent number: 8339255
Abstract: A display system of the present invention includes a liquid crystal platform section (200) which outputs display data for displaying, on a liquid crystal display section (100), an image in accordance with information obtained from an automobile. The liquid crystal platform section (200) includes a DIC (201) which generates display data and calculates a display position of the image to be displayed on the liquid crystal display section (100) from the obtained information and which causes the generated display data to be displayed in the calculated image display position. The DIC (201) updates display so that the image moves at frame intervals from a start position of image display to the image display position calculated from the automobile information currently obtained, when an interval at which the information is obtained is longer than each of the frame intervals for displaying the image.

  • Publication number: 20120169643
Abstract: A gesture determination device (1) includes the following; a coordinate data acquisition unit (10) that acquires coordinate data for each predetermined time period generated by an operation of a user; a first angle-category generation unit (11) that generates a first angle-category at first time intervals based on the coordinate data; a second angle-category generation unit (12) that generates a second angle-category at second time intervals based on the coordinate data, in which the second time interval is longer than the first time interval; and a gesture determination unit (13) that determines a gesture based on the first angle-category and/or the second angle-category. When a time interval defined to generate the second angle-category includes an overlapping time period with a time interval defined to generate the first angle-category, the gesture is determined by giving priority to the second angle-category over the first angle-category.

  • Publication number: 20120030633
Abstract: Provided is a display scene creation system that can cause a display scene to make a transition when a gesture is input to a touch panel, without a processing program that relates the touch panel to the gesture. A design of a display scene is set. One or more display components to be displayed in the set design of the display scene are set. A gesture with which the display scene makes a transition when the gesture is input to the set display components is set. A transition display scene table is provided that stores the set gesture and a post-transition display scene where the gesture and the post-transition display scene are associated with each other.

  • Patent number: 8094003
Abstract: An on-vehicle display control unit includes a CPU to which vehicle data of various kinds are inputted and a graphic LSI arranged to generate display data to be outputted to a display. The graphic LSI is arranged to generate predetermined display data from image data generated by a meter ECU. However, if there is a problem in a state of the meter ECU or an input status of 3D moving picture data, the graphic LSI receives a fail safe control from the CPU (4), thereby to generate fail safe display data corresponding to the predetermined display data. This realizes an on-vehicle display system capable of stably displaying important vehicle information.

  • Patent number: 8004395
Abstract: An instrument panel display system displays vehicle information, amenity information, and safety information as images. In this instrument panel display system, data (image data, image layout data, and image output control data) for displaying the images are generated in a shared manner by a vehicle system processor, an amenity system processor, and a safety system processor. On account of this, the stability of image display on an instrument panel of a vehicle or the like is improved and hence safety of driving is increased.

  • Patent number: 7994907
Abstract: In an image information generation device, based on status information representing statuses of various sections of a mobile unit such as a motor vehicle, image information used to display an image required, for instance, for steering this mobile unit on a display device is generated easily. In order to generate, as the image information, a layout identifier that specifies a layout of an image to be displayed on the liquid crystal display device and a component image identifier that specifies a display mode of each component image in the layout, the DPF controller compares the MEN/SEN judging table that stores an identifier table in which a correlation between the status information and the MEN, a correlation between the status information and the SEN, and a correlation between the MEN and the SEN are defined with the status information collected from the ECUs in the various sections of the mobile unit.

  • Publication number: 20100238008
Abstract: A display system of the present invention includes a liquid crystal platform section (200). The liquid crystal platform section (200) includes (i) a Flash ROM (203) which stores data required for a liquid crystal wide instrument panel (100) to display all scenes, (ii) a RAM (204) which stores code image data sent from the Flash ROM (203), and (iii) a DIC (201) which generates the display data in accordance with the code image data sent to the RAM (204). In startup of the display system, the DIC (201) causes (i) only data of an image, out of data stored in Flash ROM (203), which image is to be displayed at startup of the display system to be sent to the RAM (204), and (ii) the display data to be generated in accordance with the data which has been sent to the RAM (204). The display system is arranged so as to employ as many existing hardware as possible, which can improve its operability by shortening the time required for the first scene to start to be displayed after the startup of the display system.

  • Publication number: 20100169821
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a layout switching device includes: a disregard list storage section for storing, for each of display layouts, a disregard list indicating a type of state information which can be disregarded even when the state information is changed; and a disregard list comparing section for judging, in a case where the state information is changed, whether or not a type of the changed state information is indicated in the disregard list by referring to a disregard list which corresponds to a current display layout and is stored in the disregard list storage section. Further, a layout decision section decides a layout after switching, based on the latest state information and a layout decision rule, only in a case where the disregard list comparing section judges that the type of the changed state information is not included in the disregard list.
