Abstract: An instrument panel display system displays vehicle information, amenity information, and safety information as images. In this instrument panel display system, data (image data, image layout data, and image output control data) for displaying the images are generated in a shared manner by a vehicle system processor, an amenity system processor, and a safety system processor. On account of this, the stability of image display on an instrument panel of a vehicle or the like is improved and hence safety of driving is increased.

Abstract: A steerable vehicle information display system is provided, in which images remain undisturbed even if a momentary power interruption occurs. The steerable vehicle information display system comprises: a DPF controller (21), which acquires status information (D1 to D4) from the ECUs of each section of a motor vehicle with a predetermined periodicity; a rendering controller (22), which generates component images representative of the status of each section of the motor vehicle based on the status information (D1 to D4) and generates a composite image of a motor vehicle dashboard by compositing the generated component images; and a nonvolatile memory (24), which stores the status information (D1 to D4) or intermediate information generated from the status information, with the information being at least the latest information.

Abstract: A display system includes a combination image dividing section arranged to divide a single combination image composed of a plurality of item images into a plurality of image blocks such that each of the image blocks has an item image; an image inputting controlling section arranged to lay out the individual image blocks; and an image inputting controlling section arranged to generate display data based on the image blocks laid out thereby. This can achieve a display system, to be mounted in the maneuverable moving object and having high degrees of freedom for screen layout, at a lower cost.

Abstract: A simulation device includes a display section which is mounted on a vehicle and displays, as an instrument panel image, driving information including vehicle state information such as the speed of the vehicle and engine revolutions and additional information such as a navigation image; a layout generation section that generates layout information of the instrument panel image displayed on the display section; and an information processing section that determines the layout of the instrument panel image with reference to the layout information generated by the layout generation section and the aforesaid driving information. Since the display section displays the instrument panel image with the layout determined by the information processing section, it is possible to carry out simulation close to the feeling of actual driving.
