    Abstract: A speech reproducing device includes a data processing unit for processing a received radio frequency signal to generate speech data, a memory for storing the speech data on a basis of several speech frames, each having a predetermined length, a speech decoding unit for decoding speech data stored in the memory to generate a speech signal, a speech reproducing unit for reproducing and outputting speech based on a generated decoded speech signal and a telephone control unit for controlling operation of each unit to read speech frames in the memory while appropriately thinning out them as necessary to reproduce speech.

    Abstract: A cellular telephone with a wire connection function has a unique telephone number assigned thereto and has a function of performing a wire speech communication upon connection to a wire telephone line to which another telephone number is assigned. The cellular telephone includes a connection section and a selection section. When an incoming call is received while the wire telephone line is connected to the cellular telephone, the connection section generates an outgoing call to a different terminal having a different telephone number, by using a radio channel or the wire line which is available, to establish a speech communication, and connecting the incoming call to the different terminal. The selection section selects whether to enable or disable the connection section. The call terminated to the cellular telephone can be connected to another designated terminal.

    Abstract: In a mobile telephone device having a preassigned call number and comprising a power supply unit, a keyboard section, a display section, a power key, and a control section, the mobile telephone device transmits, on position registration operation, a position registration signal including the preassigned call number to the base station and receives an information signal from the base station as a result of the position registration operation. The information signal is for representing whether or not the preassigned call number coincides with that of a stolen mobile telephone device. The control section invalidates the operation of the keyboard and the power key and stops display of the display section and then transmitting an alarm signal to the base station on reception of the information signal representing the fact that the preassigned call number coincides with that of the stolen mobile telephone device.
