Abstract: A process for manufacturing an electric double-layer capacitor with an excellent property of preventing a short circuit between the electrodes, a better ionic permeability and a high strength is provided, said process comprising using, as a separator, a fiber sheet containing a fiber having fibrils and a fine polyester fiber having a fineness of not more than 0.45 dtex (decitex) and drying the separator at a specific temperature.

Abstract: An aerosol preparation for skin-cooling which coagulates sherbet-like on the applied site when sprayed, comprising a liquefied gas and a concentrate containing a C1-3 lower alcohol and a C10-22 straight chain monocarboxylic acid can contain drugs labile in water of which the incorporation has been difficult in the previous aerosol preparations, gives a good feeling when used, and have a durable cooling effect. Accordingly, it is effective on quick calming the pain caused by contusion, sprain, muscular fatigue, etc. or the itch caused by athlete's foot, insect bite, etc.

Abstract: An aerosol preparation which when sprayed forms a sherbet-like solid, which comprises a concentrate containing a lower alcohol having 1 to 3 carbon atoms and a higher alcohol having at least 12 carbon atoms and a propellant containing a liquefied gas. Said aerosol preparation does not require any complicated emulsifying procedure for the production, can contain components labile in water and have a durable cooling effect, and therefore, it is quickly calmative on the pain caused by contusion, sprain, muscular fatigue, etc. and the itch caused by athlete's foot, insect bite, etc.

Abstract: A carrier for adhering animal cells during culturing or for immobilization of animal cells is produced by coating a porous substrate with a cell adhesive material in the form of a mixture with chitosan. In a preferred embodiment, the porous substrate is a nonwoven fabric prepared by impregnating a nonwoven fabric web with a binder resin, and the mixture contains silk fibroin, gelatin and chitosan. Coating is carried out by contacting the nonwoven fabric with a solution prepared by adding silk fibroin and gelatin to an acidic aqueous solution of chitosan to coat the nonwoven fabric, drying the coated nonwoven fabric and treating the dried nonwoven fabric with an alkali to render the chitosan insoluble.
