  • Patent number: 4675162
Abstract: An automatic chemical analyzing apparatus including a cuvette assembly having a plurality of rows of reaction tubes arranged in respective sample magazines, each sample magazine being conveyed sequentially in a direction perpendicular to the transverse row of reaction tubes, and then in a direction parallel thereto so as to complete a reaction channel, during which the samples to be analyzed in the magazine are treated and analyzed a predetermined number of times by passing through a photometer. Adjacent the reaction channel is provided a preparation channel for cleaning and drying of reaction tubes and/or for adding of samples and reagants to the cleaned and dried tubes. Sample magazines are selectively transferrable from the reaction chamber to the preparation chamber upon completion of testing of the samples.

  • Patent number: 4671458
Abstract: In an air conditioning apparatus of the separate-type, an indoor unit is mounted on a wall of a room. The indoor unit is provided with an infrared ray detection unit which has an infrared ray sensor for sensing infrared rays, a temperature sensor for sensing a temperature in the detection unit, and a slit window for restricting a field of view of the detection unit. The detection unit is horizontally swung with a discharge opening of the indoor unit, from which warm or cold air is discharged, so that the room is swept by the field of view and the air. The room temperature distribution is obtained from the output signal from the detection unit and, the amount of the discharged air directed to the respective areas of the room is adjusted in accordance with the room temperature distribution.

  • Patent number: 4647362
Abstract: An ion selective electrode device is used to electrochemically detect several ion concentrations of an ion-containing liquid. The ion selective electrode device comprises a plurality of ion selective electrodes. These ion selective electrodes each include a substrate of insulating material having a small-diameter through hole, a metal layer formed in one body on an inner peripheral surface of the through hole and both major surfaces of the substrate, and ion sensitive layer formed on the metal layer of the inner peripheral surface. Those ion selective electrodes are connected by insulating plates for maintaining electrical insulation between the adjoining ion selective electrodes in such a manner that these through holes define a flow path for liquid to be examined.
