  • Patent number: 4354258
Abstract: A subtractor circuit subtracts start address information supplied from address information to produce a logical address. An adder circuit adds the start address information to memory capacity information to form the start address of the succeeding memory board. When 0.ltoreq.output information from the subtraction circuit<memory capacity information, a memory board is selected. To obtain the selection signal, a comparing circuit is provided which compares the output information from the subtractor circuit with the memory capacity information.

  • Patent number: 4347566
Abstract: A microprogram-controlled data processor executes a user instruction having an operation code field to specify the type of user instruction and at least one operand field to designate one of the general registers provided in a register file. The data processor comprises a logic circuit including the register file and at least one register connected directly to the register file for storing address data for addressing the register file. The data in the operand field of the user instruction is stored in the register during a microstep immediately before the first microstep of the microprogram for executing the user instruction. The output signal of the register designates one of the general registers provided in the register file.

  • Patent number: 4305125
Abstract: An information processing system includes an information processing unit and an operation console. The information processing unit includes a CPU having a fault diagnostic unit which is coupled with the diagnostic interface port of the operation console, through a diagnostic interface. The operation console is provided with a microprocessor having a first operation mode carrying out at least a normal operation processing function and a second mode executing both a maintenance command processing function and a normal operation processing function, and with a memory for storing a maintenance command processing routine for executing the maintenance command processing function. When an operator issues an instruction for shifting the first operation mode to the second operation mode control is transferred to the operation console so that the microprocessor executes the maintenance command processing function and the normal operation processing function.

  • Patent number: 4183461
Abstract: A fault-diagnosing apparatus and method for an electronic computer designed to diagnose a fault occurring in constituent circuits formed of a plurality of packages according to a signal denoting the status of a sequential circuit in the selected one of the packages, which comprises a fault-diagnosing unit for diagnosing a fault occurring in any of the sequential circuits; an exclusively fault-diagnosing circuit provided in the respective packages; and a common exclusively fault-diagnosing bus to which the output terminals of said exclusively fault-diagnosing circuits are jointly connected, and wherein the exclusively fault-diagnosing circuit sends forth to the exclusively fault-diagnosing bus signals denoting the interior status of the sequential circuit included in the package selected by the fault-diagnosing unit; and the fault-diagnosing unit diagnoses a fault occurring in any of said sequential circuits from the signal received through the bus.
