  • Patent number: 11270583
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and computer system for traffic control. A computer determines an uncommitted demand and receives a supply pattern from an adjacent downstream node. The computer aggregates the supply pattern with its own supply pattern before propagating the supply pattern to an adjacent upstream node. Moreover, the computer receives a committed demand and demand weight pattern from an upstream node and aggregates the committed demand and demand weight patterns with its own before propagating the aggregated committed demand and demand weight patterns to an adjacent downstream node. The computer further allocates a remaining downstream supply to the uncommitted demand based on weight and detects pending slot position conflicts. Based on detecting a pending slot position conflict, the computer configures a pattern shift and commits the available downstream supply as upstream committed demand.

  • Patent number: 10897505
Abstract: A technology is described for a wireless sensor network. An example method may include detecting an aircraft takeoff preparation event using cabin air pressure data and accelerometer data indicating that an aircraft is preparing for takeoff. Transmitting a listen command to sensor nodes included in a sensor network, the listen command instructing the sensor nodes to disable the wireless network transmissions and listen for commands transmitted by the gateway. Disabling gateway wireless transmissions to the sensor nodes and a computing network. Detecting a landing event using the cabin air pressure data and the accelerometer data indicating that the aircraft has landed. Enabling the gateway wireless transmissions to the sensor nodes and the computing network, and transmitting an enable command to the sensor nodes included in the sensor network, the enable command instructing the sensor nodes to enable the wireless network transmissions and resume sending sensor data to the gateway.

  • Patent number: 9977446
Abstract: In the example of a voltage regulator outputting a negative voltage, its feedback voltage will also be negative. The feedback voltage is typically created using a resistor divider. A controller IC is powered by only a positive voltage and receives the negative feedback voltage at a high impedance input of an inverting amplifier. Therefore, the inverting amplifier does not load the resistor divider, resulting in an accurate regulated output voltage. The inverting amplifier converts the negative feedback voltage to a positive feedback voltage for further processing by the controller IC. An error amplifier and a power good monitor receive both the original feedback voltage and the inverted feedback voltage and use whichever feedback voltage is the more positive one. Therefore, the controller IC may be used in voltage regulators that generate either negative or positive output voltages.

  • Patent number: 9504499
Abstract: A fastener assembly for a spinal fixation system that is particularly useful in treatment of pediatric and small-statured patients includes a fastener, an attachment member, and a locking member. The fastener has a lower portion for contacting a bone and an upper portion integral with the lower portion. The upper portion has two open channels. Each channel is configured and dimensioned to receive a portion of a longitudinal or connecting member along its circumference. The attachment member is positionable on the fastener and at least partially covers the channel that receives the longitudinal or connecting member. The locking member is operatively associated with the upper portion of the fastener and secures the attachment member and the longitudinal or connecting member to the fastener.

  • Patent number: 9258125
Abstract: Methods, systems, and products are disclosed in which generating evidence of web services transactions are provided generally by receiving in an ultimate recipient web service from an initial sender a request, the request containing a proof of message origin (‘PMO’). The PMO contains an element addressed to the ultimate recipient web service and the element bears a first signature, the first signature having a value. Embodiments also include authenticating the identity of the initial sender; creating a proof of message receipt (‘PMR’) including signing the value of the first signature; sending the PMR to the initial sender, receiving, by the initial sender, the PMR; and saving, by the initial sender, the PMR.

  • Patent number: 8577724
Abstract: A multi-provider response selector (MPRS) receives requests and provides respective selected responses. Each request includes respective selection criteria (such as keywords and demographic/geographic information) and/or respective other information (such as page location/time and demographic/geographic information). The MPRS uses the respective selection criteria to fill each of the requests (obtaining the respective selected responses) from one of a plurality of response providers, where the response providers are optionally selected in an order determined by the respective other information and/or other factors such as value returned from the response providers. Optionally, a content server receives content requests for respective specified content, generates requests for the MPRS, and returns the specified contents along with respective selected responses.

  • Patent number: 8255512
Abstract: A multi-media information system enables tracking of user interactions to media presentations. A content creation phase enables a creator to specify presentation events or user interactions that can be tracked. A token(s) is introduced into the content by the creator to represent each piece of information to be tracked. A deployment delivery phase delivers the presentation to a web page for a user experience phase and interaction. Trackable information is communicated by the user to the tracking server at different instances of time. Each pre-authored trackable information can be flagged to be “real-time” or otherwise at the granularity of the token or at the granularity of each trackable context. When trackable information is not “real-time”, the information is put into one of several information clusters of different priority. When each cluster achieves a critical mass, the cluster moves to a ready state for transmission to the tracking server.
