  • Patent number: 7287575
Abstract: The invention relates to a component (20) for supporting a tubular filter member (15) in a portable channel (2) in a plate heat exchanger (1). The invention also relates to a device including the component (20) and the filter member (15). Furthermore, the invention relates to a plate heat exchanger (1), which includes a package of heat transfer plates (3) provided between a first plate (5) and a second plate (6). The filter member (15) has an inner surface and an outer surface. The component (20) includes a first part (21), which is arranged to be introduceable into the filter member (15) to abutment against the inner surface of the filter member, and a second part (22), which is arranged to abut a surface area of one of said first and second plates (5, 6), which surface area extends around the porthole channel (2).

  • Patent number: 6978546
Abstract: A method for producing ring members, such as rings for rolling bearings, through use of a rolling operation involves warming a ring blank, positioning the warmed ring blank over a mandrel which is rotatable about a first axis, and positioning a forming roll rotatable about a second axis aligned with the first axis so as to form a rolling gap with the mandrel, with a portion of the ring blank being positioned in the rolling gap. The forming roll is driven to rotate in one rotary direction while the mandrel is driven to rotate in a rotary direction opposed to the rotary direction of the forming roll. During rotation of the forming roll and the mandrel, the mandrel is urged towards the forming roll to reduce the size of the rolling gap and thereby reduce the thickness of the ring blank while also increasing its diameter.

  • Publication number: 20050276677
Abstract: A carrier support adapted to be attached to an element, preferably a vehicle roof (4), the element being provided with a recess (5) intended for the attachment. The carrier support comprises an anchor element (1) having a head (2) and a shank (3), which head (2) has a first radial extent from the axis of the shank (3) at a first angle which is smaller than the extent of said recess (5) at one angle, and a second radial extent at a second angle which is greater than the extent at said angle of said recess (5). The carrier support further comprises a locking element (6) comprising at least one projection (7) and a hole, the size of the hole being adapted so that the shank (3) of the anchor element (1) is insertable in said hole, the projection (7) being located adjacent to the hole at a distance from the centre of the hole that is at least as great as the smaller extent of the anchor head (1).

  • Patent number: 6892913
Abstract: The invention concerns a roof-mounted bicycle hodler for vehicles. The bicycle holder comprises profiled carrier (1) on which a bicycle (9) is intended to be positioned in an upright position, first and second fastening devices (2 and 3, respectively) on said profiled carrier (1) for securing said profiled carrier (1) on first and second load carrier rails (4 and 5, respectively), said rails being attached to said vehicle roof (6), and a holding arm (15) pivotally mounted on said profiled carrier (1) for pivotal movement essentially between a release position and a securing position in which said holding arm (15) is attachable to the frame of the bicycle (9).

  • Patent number: 6824453
Abstract: There is described a surface treatment nozzle which generates a surface treatment jet that comprises a suspension of surface treatment material and gas and a surrounding liquid-containing jet for preventing dusting. The surface treatment jet has a high velocity compared with the velocity of solely liquid and is conveyed in an inner tube (13; 31) and the liquid is conveyed in a channel (12) between the inner tube and a tube (11) concentrically surrounding the inner tube. There is included a mixing arrangement (14, 15, 16; 22; 29, 30, 25) for mixing the liquid with gas upstream of the nozzle outlet and to impart to the liquid/gas mixture a velocity in the same order of magnitude as the velocity of the surface treatment jet at said outlet.

  • Patent number: 6805317
Abstract: A device is provided for winding paper in which the paper web running is supported by a reel drum and wound onto exchangeable reel shafts in contact with the reel drum in order to form rolls of paper. The device applies a heated adhesive agent on the web and/or on the reel shaft onto which the web is to be wound. A spray rack is mounted on the stand of the reel-up, upstream of the reel drum and extending transversely to the machine direction, or alternatively, is mounted in various other locations of the reel-up. A hopper with a heater heats the heated adhesive agent to temporarily lower its viscosity and stickiness for smooth and even spraying. A series of nozzles are mounted on the rack spaced across the width of the web to spread spray jets of liquid containing said heated adhesive onto the web and/or the reel shaft. The adhesive area thus is disposed between the web and the empty reel shaft so as to facilitate initiating the winding process.

  • Patent number: 6451548
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of activated TRAP (tartrate-resistant and purple acid phosphatases) for screening for specific inhibitor of TRAP activity useful in the treatment of diseases or degenerative conditions resulting in increased bone resorption, such as tissue damages, bone metabolic disorders, osteoporosis. TRAP can be activated by proteolytic activation of TRAP e.g. by cleaving with a protease, papain-like enzyme.
