  • Patent number: 5484083
Abstract: A receptacle (1) with a deformable flexible wall (2), of the bottle, pouch or tube type, is adapted to contain a liquid or pasty product adapted to be distributed through an outlet opening (3), under the effect of pressure exerted from outside on the flexible wall (2) of the receptacle, leading to the collapse of this wall and a diminution of the internal volume of the receptacle. The receptacle wall has at least one longitudinal strip (4) of a more rigid material and of a peripheral extent (1) sufficient to maintain, within the receptacle, a longitudinal channel adjacent this strip (4), when the regions facing the internal surface of the flexible wall of the receptacle come to bear against each other as a result of the collapse of this wall, progressively with the distribution of the product.

  • Patent number: 5379898
Abstract: Self-breakable ampoule (1) of the "bottle" type allowing for the easy flow of the product contained in the ampoule. The neck zone (4) of the ampoule is covered at the prebreaking line (7) by a sleeve (10) of plastic material (preferably heat-shrinking plastic) comprising an extension projecting beyond the prebreaking line (7) in the form of a tongue or collar after breakage of the ampoule along the line (7). This extension (10a) has a length d (measured as a projection over the axis of the neck zone) at least equal to 20% of the diameter of the orifice obtained after breakage of the ampoule along the line (7), the plane tangential to the surface forming the extension (10b) in the vicinity of the line (7) forming an angle of less than 60.degree. with the axis X--X.

  • Patent number: 5316399
Abstract: An applicator element and a cap are adapted to be mounted on a neck provided on an upper part of a container. The cap is mounted on the neck by a capsule carrying the applicator element and capable of directly ensuring closure of the container by the cooperation of a first screw thread provided on an inner surface of the capsule with a corresponding second screw thread provided externally on the neck of the container. The capsule also carries a seal adapted to cooperate with an edge of the neck when the capsule is placed on the container in the closed position. The cap is mounted on the capsule and connected to the capsule by a screw-type connection in the same direction as that of the first and second threads. The connection between the cap and the capsule offers less resistance than that between the capsule and the neck of the container.

  • Patent number: 5271533
Abstract: The container (1) is provided with a spring closure device, the container being provided with an outlet channel (12) for the product ending in an orifice (14), the orifice being closed with the aid of a membrane (2) of flexible material which is deformed under the pressure of the product to be dispensed. The membrane (2) is provided both with a pin (22) capable of covering the orifice (14) and with openings (23) which, if there is no deformation of the membrane (2), remain closed by virtue of the elastic properties of the membrane (2).

  • Patent number: 5031802
Abstract: The metering bottle for dispensing a dose of liquid when the cap of the bottle is removed. When the cap is fully on the bottle, it keeps a bellows compressed. When the cap is removed, the bellows is allowed to expand and the resulting suction causes a dose of liquid from the bottle to be sucked into the bellows via a plunger tube which sticks into the liquid and via an opening into the bellows chamber. A one-way valve at the opening into the bellows chamber then prevents the dose of liquid in the bellows chamber from flowing back into the bottle. When the dose of liquid is used and the bellows chamber is empty of liquid, the lid can be replaced. When the lid is replaced the bellows is collapsed. The air in the bellows chamber is then forced back through an air microhole in the one-way valve into the bottle.

  • Patent number: 4978035
Abstract: The present invention relates to a nozzle for dispensing a product, in particular a foaming product, contained in a pressurized container. The nozzle comprises three elements: an element (6) for fixation onto the container; a dispensing element (5); and a lateral element (7) for coupling the first two elements. The coupling element (7) has an elasticity such that its height varies between the operating position and the position of repose by a value equal to the sum of the distance between the upper edge of the emergent stem in the position of repose and the projection of the hole when the nozzle is in the position of repose, and the distance corresponding to the course of driving in of the emergent stem between its position of repose and the position of complete opening of the valve. The emergent stem of the valve, in the position of repose, is completely outside the hole.

  • Patent number: 4969584
Abstract: A pressurized container (1) including a system for blocking the actuating device (5) of the valve (4) when the container (1) is not in a proper position is proposed, which includes a movable element (6), at least partly of ferromagnetic material, that cooperates with a magnet (33) having a force of magnetic attraction less than the weight of the movable element (6), and which is disposed in such a manner that the movable element is attracted and retained by the magnet to block the actuating device (5).

  • Patent number: 4927282
Abstract: A container for nail polish includes a stopper (1) to which a brush (4) is affixed, and a bottle (2). The container has an elongated shape, similar to that of a fountain pen, and the bottle (2) is divided into two compartments (5, 6) by a valve (7), in particular a ball valve. The valve (7) is open when the stopper (1) of the container is in a lowered position with respect to the bottle (2).

  • Patent number: 4854759
Abstract: The device (1) includes an applicator brush (4) including a rod (5) provided with applicator means (A) such as bristles (6). The rod (5) is carried by a cap (7) intended to close the neck, and this cap is integrally joined to a sheath (9) capable of surrounding the rod (5). The rod (5) is mounted displaceably in the sheath (9) with respect to the cap (7), and at its end remote from the cap, the sheath (9) includes a restriction (11), through which the applicator means (A) of the brush can pass. The rod (5) of the brush includes an enlargement (12) arranged to come into contact with the restriction (11) by gravity, when the brush (4) is oriented downward, so as to retain the rod and close the restriction. Toward the cap, the sheath (9) includes at least one opening (14, 15) allowing liquid to enter the sheath when the bottle, closed by the cap, is inverted, and a free space (16) exists between the inside surface of the sheath and the outer surface of the rod to form a reservoir for the liquid.
