  • Patent number: 11826651
Abstract: Methods for providing guidance to a user wearing a head mounted display (HMD) are provided. One example method includes using a camera of the HMD to track the user wearing the HMD in a real-world space, and identifying a safe zone within the real-world space for interacting with a virtual reality space via the HMD. The method further includes detecting movements of the user in the real-world space. The method includes integrating content into the virtual reality space. The content is configured to provide guidance in direction of movement of the user toward the safe zone of the real-world space. If the user continues to move away from safe zone, pausing presentation of the virtual reality space, and resuming the presentation when the user is in the safe zone.

  • Patent number: 11830613
Abstract: A prehospital telemedicine system comprises a physiologic monitor; an electronic patient care reporting system (ePCR) system; and a point-of-care blood analyzer communicatively coupled to the physiologic monitor and the ePCR system. The point-of-care blood analyzer is configured to perform an analysis of a blood sample based on an indication of a need for a specific blood analysis provided by one of the physiologic monitor and the ePCR system, and to automatically transmit a result of the analysis to a remote data receiving system. The indication of a need for a specific blood analysis may be based upon any one of the following: vital signs data obtained for a patient by the physiologic monitor; and/or current documentation or past medical history captured on or available through the ePCR system.

  • Patent number: 11780059
Abstract: A fully parametric profile for improved tooling in a tool/fastener system is provided that details a profile from a single proved Wright number, and that improves the contact area across a full spectrum of industry standard tolerances, while preserving safe pockets for fastener corners, thereby providing for increased tool life. The tool profile is based on a central axis and a parametric set of coordinates for flats, transition points, and multiple radii. The profile mates selectively with a set of fasteners having a central axis and a plurality of flat bounding surfaces parallel to the fastener access wherein diametrically opposite pairs of surfaces are parallel to each other and the bounding surfaces intersect in adjacent pairs to form fastener corners.

  • Publication number: 20230293898
Abstract: A defibrillation system for the administration of a dual sequential defibrillation and/or simultaneous defibrillation therapy. A first defibrillation device is inductively coupled to a second defibrillation device. An energy delivery of the first defibrillation device generating, or causing to be generated, an artifact that is received by the second defibrillation device. • Patent number: 11759648
Abstract: An example method is performed by a current defibrillator and includes determining that a memory embedded within a therapy cable coupled to the current defibrillator stores data indicative of a previous shock delivered to a patient, the previous being delivered using a previous defibrillator. The method also includes obtaining the data indicative of the previous shock, and setting an energy level for a subsequent shock based on the data indicative of the previous shock. The method further includes delivering the subsequent shock to the patient at the energy level for the subsequent shock.

  • Publication number: 20230270558
Abstract: A bone fusion implant is provided for treating conditions of Proximal Interphalangeal (PIP), Distal interphalangeal (DIP), and metatarsophalangeal (MTP) foot joints. The bone fusion implant may be a cortical bone allograft sized to fuse the foot joint to be treated. A proximal portion of the implant may be pressed into a hole drilled in a proximal bone portion of the foot joint, and a distal portion of the implant may be pressed into a hole drilled in a distal bone portion of the foot joint. Ramps on the proximal and distal portions facilitate press-fitting the implant into the holes in the bone portions. Side ramps ensure that the bone fusion implant remains substantially aligned with the foot joint while the distal portion is pressed into the hole into the distal bone portion. Grooves on the ramps alleviate pressure and ease inserting the implant into the holes in the bone portions.

  • Patent number: 11648411
Abstract: An external defibrillator system is configured with at least two different algorithms for determining the duration of a shock administered to a patient being treated and selects the algorithm based on one or more patient parameters such as, for example, the patient's TTI. The patient's TTI can be measured prior to or while the shock is being administered to the patient. The shock can be, for example, a multiphasic defibrillation or a multiphasic cardioversion shock. The charge voltage of the system's energy storage device can additionally be varied depending on the one or more patient parameters. For example, the system may charge the energy storage device so that the charge voltage is higher or lower than a nominal charge voltage responsive to the patient's TTI is higher or lower compared to an average TTI, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20230125493
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for a syndesmosis treatment construct configured to be placed into a cinched configuration that presses a first bone against a second bone. The syndesmosis treatment construct comprises a proximal fixator to contact the first bone and a distal fixator to contact the second bone. A first suture and a second suture are parallelly looped through the distal fixator. A free splice slidably rides on proximal ends and distal ends of both of the first and second sutures. The distal ends are looped through the proximal fixator and bound within a stitch splice. The proximal ends are passed outside of the stitch splice and through the proximal fixator. The free splices compress and seize the proximal ends during pulling of the proximal ends by a practitioner so as to maintain the cinched configuration.

  • Publication number: 20230104559
Abstract: An apparatus and methods are provided for a bone fusion plate for treating deformities of the hallux. The bone fusion plate includes a width and a length and screw hole position and trajectory suitable for fixating a 1st metatarsal bone and a metatarsal head during a straight distal osteotomy to correct a hallux valgus deformity of a patient. The bone fusion plate includes a plate portion comprising a lower, distal surface and a buttress comprising a proximal surface. The distal surface fastens onto the metatarsal head while the proximal surface fastens onto a proximal bone surface exposed by cutting the 1st metatarsal bone and laterally shifting the metatarsal head during the straight distal osteotomy. Threaded countersunk screw holes in the buttress and the plate portion receive bone screws for fastening onto the 1st metatarsal bone and the metatarsal head. The countersinks prevent the bone screws from irritating surrounding soft tissues.
