Abstract: A container assembly including a first and second component. The first component includes a first base, a first plurality of side walls extending upwardly from the first base, and a first lip extending outwardly around a perimeter of the first plurality side walls. The second component includes a second base, a second plurality of side walls extending upwardly from the second base, and a second lip extending outwardly around a perimeter of the second plurality of side walls. The first and second components are convertible between at least a spaced configuration, a first locked configuration, and a second locked configuration. The first and second components are completely separate from one another in the spaced configuration and define an interior in the first and second locked configurations. An orientation of at least one the first and second components is different in the first and second locked configurations.

Abstract: A produce tray assembly includes a plurality of produce trays and a box. Each produce tray includes a plurality of bases, a plurality of inner and outer sidewalls, a lip, and a handle. The sidewalls extending from the bases. The sidewalls define cavities sized and configured to receive produce. The lip extends from the outer sidewalls. The lip includes a planar surface. The box is configured to hold a first amount of produce trays in response to the of produce trays being oriented in a horizontal position where the planar surface extends horizontally. The box is configured to hold a second amount of produce trays in response to the produce trays being oriented in a vertical position where the planar surface extends vertically. The second amount of the produce trays is greater than the first amount of produce trays.

Abstract: A container that includes a tray having a base bottom portion and one or more sidewalls having a volume for holding a product; a lid that is attachable to the tray to protect the product in the tray when attached thereto; and a divider for providing a plurality of compartments with a predetermined volume in the tray, the divider configured, dimensioned and positioned to provide support to the lid, air flow between the compartments and torsional rigidity to the tray. The most preferred container of the invention is a rectangular clamshell container as described herein that includes a spine which is pivotally hinged to the base bottom portion via the lid. This preferred container also includes a plurality of snap locking members for attaching the lid to the tray for retaining contents therein.
