  • Publication number: 20170286863
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for generating an anomaly score for a neuro-linguistic model of input data obtained from one or more sources. According to one embodiment, generating an anomaly score comprises receiving a score indicating how often a characteristic is observed in the input data. Upon receiving the score, comparing the score with an unusual score model to determine an unusualness score and comparing the unusualness score with an anomaly score model based on one or more unusual score models to generate the anomaly score indicating an overall unusualness for the input data.

  • Publication number: 20170228598
Abstract: A machine-learning engine is disclosed that is configured to recognize and learn behaviors, as well as to identify and distinguish between normal and abnormal behavior within a scene, by analyzing movements and/or activities (or absence of such) over time. The machine-learning engine may be configured to evaluate a sequence of primitive events and associated kinematic data generated for an object depicted in a sequence of video frames and a related vector representation. The vector representation is generated from a primitive event symbol stream and a phase space symbol stream, and the streams describe actions of the objects depicted in the sequence of video frames.

  • Patent number: 9723271
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for analyzing a scene depicted in an input stream of video frames captured by a video camera. The techniques include receiving data for an object within the scene and determining whether the object has remained substantially stationary within the scene for at least a threshold period. If the object is determined to have remained stationary for at least the threshold period, a rareness score is calculated for the object to indicate a likelihood of the object being stationary to an observed degree at an observed location. The rareness score may use a learning model to take into account previous stationary and/or non-stationary behavior of objects within the scene. In general, the learning model may be updated based on observed stationary and/or non-stationary behaviors of the objects. If the rareness score meets reporting conditions, the stationary object event may be reported.

  • Patent number: 9679726
Abstract: An anti-interference switch signal transmission circuit, in which a changeover switch is used at a signal terminal, is disclosed. A normally closed contact is connected to DC?, a normally open contact is connected to DC+, and a common contact is connected to a switch signal acquisition circuit. When no signal exists, DC? is provided to a positive input terminal of the switch signal acquisition circuit via the normally closed contact. Since a negative input terminal of the switch signal acquisition circuit is also connected to DC?, even if interference is caused, no false signal is generated. When a signal exists, the position of the changeover switch changes and DC+ is connected to DC? via the closed normally open contact through the switch signal acquisition circuit thus a loop is formed, so that the signal can be detected.

  • Publication number: 20170148183
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for generating a low-dimensional representation of an image. An image driver receives an image captured by a camera. The image includes features based on pixel values in the image, and each feature describes the image in one or more image regions. The image driver generates, for each of the plurality of features, a feature vector that includes values for that feature corresponding to at least one of the image regions. Each value indicates a degree that the feature is present in the image region. The image driver generates a sample vector from each of the feature vectors. The sample vector includes each of the values included in the generated feature vectors.

  • Publication number: 20170142237
Abstract: In a disclosed embodiment, a method for communication in a network includes receiving, at a first device registered to the network, a physical layer (PHY) frame that includes a PHY header and a MAC header. The PHY frame may further include a MAC payload. The PHY header includes a destination address field. The method further includes comparing a network address of the first device to the destination address field to determine whether the destination address field stores a value having the same number of bits as the network address. When the comparison indicates that the value stored by the destination address field does not have the same number of bits as the network address, the method skips decoding the MAC header and the MAC payload.

  • Publication number: 20170134398
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed. An agent resides in a mobile communication device. The agent detects Proximity-based Mobile Malware Propagation. The agent injects one or more trigger network connections in the candidate connection list. These connections appear as legitimate networks and devices, but instead trigger connection to an agent server on a service provider's network. By attempting to connect through the trigger network connection, the malware reveals itself. The system helps collect the malware signature within a short period of time after the malware outbreak in local areas, though such attacks typically bypass network based security inspection in the network.

  • Patent number: 9639521
Abstract: Embodiments presented herein describe techniques for generating a linguistic model of input data obtained from a data source (e.g., a video camera). According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a sequence of symbols is generated based on an ordered stream of normalized vectors generated from the input data. A dictionary of words is generated from combinations of the ordered sequence of symbols based on a frequency at which combinations of symbols appear in the ordered sequence of symbols. A plurality of phrases is generated based an ordered sequence of words from the dictionary observed in the ordered sequence of symbols based on a frequency by which combinations of words in ordered sequence of words appear relative to one another.

  • Publication number: 20170115644
Abstract: Simulation of process control environments, including dynamic properties, with a modified first-order Taylor series expansion. By using more linear calculations, a physical dynamic property is approximated in less time and with fewer computing resources. By adjusting the approximation to introduce curvature, a physical dynamic property is represented over a wider range than with basic linear series expansions. A comparison to a basic linear first-order series expansion identifies conditions when a rigorous update of a dynamic property is needed.

  • Patent number: 9633275
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for extracting micro-features at a pixel-level based on characteristics of one or more images. Importantly, the extraction is unsupervised, i.e., performed independent of any training data that defines particular objects, allowing a behavior-recognition system to forgo a training phase and for object classification to proceed without being constrained by specific object definitions. A micro-feature extractor that does not require training data is adaptive and self-trains while performing the extraction. The extracted micro-features are represented as a micro-feature vector that may be input to a micro-classifier which groups objects into object type clusters based on the micro-feature vectors.

  • Patent number: 9612038
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an all-glass solar heat collecting tube without a tail pipe. The bottom of one end of an inner glass tube plated by a selective absorbing coating layer is rounded, the other end is connected to a first glass outer tube. The bottom of one end of a second glass outer tube is rounded and the other end is flared. The connected inner glass tube/first glass outer tube is inserted into the second glass outer tube. A gap is formed between the first glass outer tube and the second glass outer tube to serve as an air exhausting channel. The first glass outer tube is inserted into the flared opening of the second glass outer tube. The contact point between the first glass outer tube and the second glass outer tube is heated to frit seal and butt joint.
