  • Publication number: 20240108844
Abstract: A humidification system can include a heater base, a humidification chamber, and a breathing circuit. A cartridge can be removably coupled to the heater base. The cartridge can include various sensors, probes, sensor wire connectors, heater wire connectors, and/or other features. The cartridge can include features configured to mate with corresponding features on the humidification chamber and the heater base. The cartridge includes a memory, such as an EEPROM, or other suitable storage device. When the cartridge is installed on the heater base, the memory is electrically connected to a processor and/or memory of the heater base. Various models of cartridges can be produced for use with different humidification chambers, breathing circuits, and/or therapies. A connector can be configured to couple an inspiratory conduit to an outlet port of the humidification chamber. The connector can provide a pneumatic connection to the outlet port and an electrical connection to the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 11934789
Abstract: A document capture server receives a document image from a document capture client and processes the image into an electronic document containing textual content. During capture, the document capture server determines a graphical layout of the document, extracts keywords from the document, classifies the document accordingly, and calls an artificial intelligence (AI) platform to gain insights on the textual content. The AI platform analyzes the textual content and returns additional, insightful data such as a sentiment of the textual content. The document capture server can validate the additional data, integrate the additional data in a process or workflow, and/or provide the textual content and the additional data to a content repository or a computing facility operating in an enterprise computing environment. The document capture server can provide validated data to the AI platform to improve future analyses by the AI platform.

  • Publication number: 20230325605
Abstract: A summarizer can be invoked by a user to summarize content. Once started, the summarizer can examine the content, determine a main body of the content, extract texts from the main body, concatenate the texts into a text block, and make a call to an artificial intelligence (AI) platform. The call can contain the text block and specify a user-configurable summarization range for summarizing the text block. The AI platform is operable to generate a sentiment of the text block and a summary of the text block in the summarization range and return them to the summarizer. The summarizer, in turn, can instruct an application on the user device to generate a window or page for displaying the sentiment and the summary in the summarization range on the user device, in real time and in context of the content that the user is viewing, reading, or listening.

  • Patent number: 11255153
Abstract: A seal apparatus and method of use is described. The seal apparatus comprises a seal assembly comprising a plurality of elements assembled together to form a ring structure around a longitudinal axis. The ring structure is operable to be moved between an expanded condition and a collapsed condition by movement of the plurality of elements. The plurality of elements is operable to be moved between the expanded and collapsed conditions by sliding with respect to one another along respective contact surfaces. Each of the plurality of elements is a compound element comprising a substrate and at least one seal member disposed on a part of a surface of the element.

  • Patent number: 11231077
Abstract: A torque transfer apparatus and method of use is described. The apparatus comprises a plurality of elements assembled together to form a ring structure oriented in a plane around a longitudinal axis. The ring structure defines a first engagement surface. A structure defining a second engagement surface is rotatable with respect to the ring structure. The ring structure is operable to be moved between a collapsed condition and an expanded condition by movement of the plurality of elements, and movement between the collapsed condition and the expanded condition engages or disengages the first and second engagement surfaces. The apparatus can be configured to transfer a driving torque (e.g. a clutch) or a braking force (e.g. a torque brake).

  • Publication number: 20200357157
Abstract: The present invention relates to method of generating training data for use in animating an animated object corresponding to a deformable object. The method comprises accessing a 3D model of the deformable object, defining a plurality of virtual cameras directed at the 3D model; varying adjustable controls of the 3D model to create a set of deformations on the 3D model. Then, for each deformation, capturing 2D projections of points at each virtual camera, combining the projections to form a vector of 2D point coordinates, generating a vector of 2D shape parameters from the point coordinates, and combining the shape parameters with the values of the adjustable controls for that deformation to form a training data item. The training data items are combined to form a training data set for use in training a learning algorithm for use in animating an animated object corresponding to the deformable object based on real deformations.
