Abstract: A client device downloads an interactive multimedia content package, such as a video game, from a server across a network. The package includes executable code and a plurality of graphical asset files. A wrapper component is provided in the package, which provides an intermediate layer between the executable code and a runtime environment of the client device. The wrapper component restricts functionality of the interactive multimedia content package to provide a demonstration or trial mode, in particular having time limitations (e.g. a rental mode) or functional limitations regarding the assets and/or progress within the content by the executable code. The wrapper component may be removed or inactivated, thereby achieving a full or unlimited mode of the package.

Abstract: The present concept is a coaching board in combination with an image displayed thereon. The combination includes a planar coaching board with at least one erasable writing surface and a 3-D image displayed on the erasable writing surface. The 3-D image is a graphic depiction of a sports playing area and includes horizontal and vertical features. The image is a perspective view of at least a portion of the playing area shown at an angle of approximately 15° to 85° relative to the horizontal. The sports playing area is chosen from among ice hockey rink, baseball diamond, volleyball court, American football field, soccer pitch, and basketball court.

Abstract: A method and system for managing user authentication. First authentication data associated with a user is received from a first authentication mechanism. The first authentication data is generated in response to the first authentication mechanism successfully authenticating the user. In response to receipt of the first authentication data, a first identifier associated with the user is registered. The first authentication data is associated with the first identifier. In response to associating the first authentication data with the first identifier, second authentication data associated with the user is received from a second authentication mechanism. The second authentication data is generated in response to the second authentication mechanism successfully authenticating the user. The second authentication data is associated with the first authentication data and the first identifier.

Abstract: A method and system for managing redirection for use with a system. The system includes a first webpage and a second webpage. The first webpage is operable to redirect a browser to the second webpage and subsequently, the second webpage is operable to redirect the browser to the first webpage by using a first pre-determined identifier associated with the first webpage. A second identifier associated with a component of the first webpage is assigned. In response to the second webpage redirecting the browser to the first webpage by using the first pre-determined identifier, the first pre-determined identifier is compared against the second identifier to determine whether the second identifier is different from the first pre-determined identifier. In response to a determination that the second identifier is different from the first pre-determined identifier, the browser is redirected to the component of the first webpage by using the second identifier.

Abstract: Computer-implemented methods and computer program products for automatically transferring expressions between rigs with consistent joint structure, and for automatically transferring skin weights between different skin meshes based on joint positioning. A method is provided for transferring an expression between a plurality of source rigs and a target rig, where each rig characterizes an animated character, and each rig, in turn, is characterized by a set of joints and a skin mesh having a plurality of vertices, with each vertex characterized by a matrix of weights relating a response of the vertex to movement of associated joints. A set of offsets is calculated of joint positions of a goal expression of each source rig relative to a neutral expression of the source rig. A scaling transformation is then applied to the set of offsets to produce a scaled set of offsets, which are added, in turn, to a neutral expression of the target rig.

Abstract: Electrical machine arrangements have advantages with regard to providing local electrical power and starting. Embedding such electrical machine arrangements in machinery such as gas turbine engines is advantageous in removing mechanical linkages and reducing aerodynamic drag. However, the components utilized must be able to withstand harsh environmental conditions and therefore the DC link capacitor used for smoothing of voltage fluctuations are limited to relatively low capacitance densities. Low density DC link capacitors require large sizes which render electrical machines less acceptable for embedded usage. By providing offset of electrical current in inductance elements such as stator windings and stator coils of electrical machines in dead periods of the cycle a reduction in DC link capacitor requirements is achieved reducing the size, weight and complexity of installing electrical machines in gas turbine engines.

Abstract: For managing the retention of publications in a publish/subscribe system, a publisher sends a new publication to a publish/subscribe broker with an indication of whether the new publication should be retained in association with a previous retained publication. The publish/subscribe broker responds to such indications by retaining the new publication with the previous retained publication. The contents or ‘payload’ of the new published message may be appended to a previous retained message, resulting in a single retained message that contains information from multiple published messages.
