  • Patent number: 9823099
Abstract: An instrument panel meter including a flexible face and a pointer. The flexible face includes indicators configured to convey information to a user regarding operation of the vehicle. The pointer is beneath the flexible face, and is movable between an inactive position and an active position. In the inactive position, the pointer does not stretch the flexible face. In the active position, the pointer does stretch the flexible face at or proximate to one of the indicators so as to convey information to the user regarding operation of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170289356
Abstract: A vehicle communication system including a data communication module (DCM) that, upon detecting that a user's mobile telephone is not present onboard a vehicle, is configured to instruct a telecommunications server to forward calls made to the user's mobile telephone to the DCM of the vehicle. The DCM is further configured to instruct the telecommunications server to connect a telephone call that has been initiated by the user at the vehicle using the DCM of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20170262158
Abstract: A user interface system including a display and a control module. The control module displays a plurality of active tiles in an active area of the display, and displays a plurality of inactive tiles in an inactive area of the display. An inactive tile selected by a user is moved to the active area, and an application associated with the selected tile is activated. An active tile having a priority level that is lower than a priority level of the selected tile is moved to the inactive area. In the active area, the tile having the lower priority level is replaced with the selected tile having the higher priority level. The inactive tiles of the inactive area are arranged in order of decreasing priority.

  • Patent number: 9746351
Abstract: A light conductor device receives light from a light source. The light conductor includes a radial conductor including an annular body, a conductor base, and outer segments. The annular body extends in a circumferential direction. The conductor base extends from the annular body inward in a radial direction. The conductor base extends in the circumferential direction. Each of the outer segments extends from the annular body outward in the radial direction. The outer segments are arranged in the circumferential direction and distant from each other in the circumferential direction. The annular body is located between the conductor base and the outer segments in the radial direction to bridge the conductor base and the outer segments into a single piece.
