  • Patent number: 7518446
Abstract: A multi-mode RF amplifier is disclosed having high and low output power modes composed of two power paths. When the multi-mode RF amplifier is biased into the high power, HP, mode, substantial power is delivered via both (first and second) paths. While in the low power, LP, mode, power is delivered via second path only which is designed to reduce current consumption and improve efficiency under low power (backoff) operation. The multi-mode RF amplifier has power amplifiers in one embodiment, but no mechanical or electronic switches. The multi-mode amplifier utilizes impedance matching circuits where the impedances change under different power amplifier bias conditions in order to optimize current consumption under both modes of operations and is power efficient for portable applications. Note that, in a preferred embodiment, even in the HP mode more power is delivered to the second power path than to the first power path.

  • Patent number: 7519497
Abstract: A trace test and debug system for a target processor generates a program counter trace stream, a timing trace stream and a data trace stream. The target processor has three states, a program code execution state, an interrupt service routine code execution state, and a state where code execution is halted. The trace streams can be controlled so that the timing trace stream can be generated or excluded during the code execution halts. Similarly, when the timing trace stream is enabled for the interrupt service routine(s), the program counter and data trace streams can be selectively generated or excluded. The contents of the pipeline flattener can be held or flushed code execution halt depending on whether the pipeline is unprotected or protected. When the contents of the pipeline flattener are held during a code halt, the program counter trace stream and data trace stream is halted even if the timing trace stream remains active.

  • Patent number: 7518422
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for providing a fine delay by switching on a capacitor delay. A coarse delay and/or a fine delay are implemented upon a reference signal based upon a phase shift between the reference signal and a feedback signal. A fine delay is implemented upon the reference signal based upon a phase shift between the reference signal and a feedback signal. Providing the fine delay includes switching on a capacitive delay. A synchronized output signal is generated based upon the fine delay.

  • Patent number: 7519111
Abstract: In a configuration testing integrated circuits, the system clock signals are forced to the same frequency as the test clock signals. When the test clock signals and the system clock signals have the same frequency, both clock signals can applied to the integrated circuit through a single terminal, whereby providing a terminal for the exchange of other signals with the integrated circuit. Using the same signals for test and system clocks allows selected components to be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 7518071
Abstract: A motor vehicle turn signal cancelling device operated by a turn signal cancelling member projecting from the steering wheel includes a frame structure and a mounting member attached thereto. A fixture having a central portion positioned between oppositely extending first and second arms is pivotally mounted to the mounting member at the central portion to move the first and second arms into the path of movement of the cancelling member. The device further includes a turn signal activating lever pivotally mounted between its ends to the frame structure. A cancellation arm is pivotally mounted to the mounting member and defines a slot near its distal end. An engagement post associated with the lever is received in the slot defined in the cancellation arm. The engagement post and the slot are positioned between the pivotal axis of the turn signal activating lever and the pivotal axis of the cancellation arm.

  • Patent number: 7517412
Abstract: A method of removing dust, dirt and the like from the surface of a paper substrate comprises the steps of transporting the paper substrate along a path of travel, and training the paper substrate over and in direct contact with at least a portion of the outer surface of a vacuum drum having openings therein. Suction is applied to the openings as the paper moves over the drum at a slightly different linear velocity from the surface velocity of the drum. Dust, dirt and the like are drawn away from one surface of the paper substrate through the openings of the drum as the paper substrate sweeps over the vacuum drum surface.

  • Patent number: 7519419
Abstract: The invention is directed to a material and a method of substantially eliminating destructive low-temperature, humidity-enhanced phase transformation of yttria-stabilized zirconia in general, as well as eliminating low-temperature degradation of yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystalline ceramic (Y-TZP). The martensitic-type phase transformation from tetragonal to monoclinic is accompanied by severe strength degradation in a moist environment at low-temperature, specifically at room temperature as well as at body temperature. This class of materials has been chosen as the packaging material for small implantable neural-muscular sensors and stimulators because of the high fracture toughness and high mechanical strength. This destructive phase transformation has been substantially eliminated, thus ensuring the safety of long-term implants, by subjecting the sintered components to post-machining hot isostatic pressing, such that the average grain size is less than about 0.5 microns.
