  • Publication number: 20150245961
Abstract: A method and system for calibrating a control profile of a controller having at least one output variable used to control the operation of a mobility device. The calibration system controls the mobility device according to a prescribed routine under a range of changes of values of the output variable. One or more sensors provided, either temporarily or permanently, on the mobility device sense operational parameters of the mobility device and send sensed data to the calibration system. The calibration system determines mobility device stability associated with the changes of the at least one output variable based on the sensed data and produces a control profile that restricts a controller from outputting changes of values of the output variable associated with mobility device instability.

  • Patent number: 8845356
Abstract: A power adapter cord for providing electrical power to an electronic item of merchandise from an external source of electrical power includes a cable containing at least one conductor and having a connector at one end configured to lock into a corresponding connector of a power input port provided on the item of merchandise. The connector and the corresponding connector define a mechanical and electrical connection having a connector extraction force greater than the connector extraction force of a standard connector of the same type. Accordingly, the connector prevents accidental or malicious removal of the connector from the power input port and/or discourages theft of the item of merchandise because the connector cannot be forcibly removed without damaging the corresponding connector and thereby rendering the item of merchandise inoperable. In exemplary embodiments, the connector is a modified micro-USB plug.

  • Publication number: 20100201121
Abstract: The purpose is to extract conditioned air through the use of a saddle tap fitting made of sheet metal or other material for attaching a rectangular or square discharge to registers or duct to a round or the round sides of an oval HVAC main trunk line or short sections of pipe of many different sizes as well as tapers, reducers or fittings. With the use of this fitting will reduce huge amounts of manufacturing and inventory. This saddle tap which flexibly conforms tightly to the arcuate surface to which it is attached will deliver less turbulent conditioned air to desired locations. A key feature of the fitting is several attachment tabs typical of (30) with restraining holes (31) in them. Together tabs and restraining holes, keep the attachment screws from drifting when the screws are installed through said holes and angled away from the large hole cut in the main line to secure the tap to the main trunk line.

  • Publication number: 20100072746
Abstract: The purpose is to extract a large volume of regulated conditioned air thru use of a saddle tap fitting made of sheet metal, and for tightly attaching a HVAC branch line to a circular or arcuate sides of a flat or short sections of pipe as well as tapers, reducers or oval main trunk lines and their fittings of many different sizes at an angle. This fitting includes 2 cylindrical collars rotatably attached to a body having a skirt which flexibly conforms, to the arcuate surface to which it is attached. Manually rotating the two canted collars smoothly changes the angles and compound angles, to the branch lines from a range of approx 107 degrees when attached to the main line thus directing a controlled volume of conditioned air to desired locations all of this can be achieved with the use of this one fitting.

  • Patent number: 7503557
Abstract: An apparatus for dividing a bundle of sheet material into smaller bundles includes a platform having a front and back on which the bundle is placed on an edge, a back wall against which the bundle is placed, a recess in the platform, a sliding member moveable from the front to the back of the recess along an axis and pivotable about the axis and having a portion which extends above the platform, and a finger protruding rearwardly from the sliding member offset from the axis and having a length equal to the thickness of the smaller bundles. The sliding member is moved backwards until the portion which extends above the platform abuts the bundle. It is then pivoted to lift the finger under a part of the bundle and a smaller bundle is lifted upwards from the bundle such that a user can then remove that smaller bundle.
