    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

    Abstract: An illustrated view of a fishing hook protector device for protecting a hook point of a fishing hook and a fisherman from being stuck with a fishing hook is presented. The fishing hook protector device is useful for preventing the hook point of the fishing hook from being exposed to the fisherman. The fishing hook protector device is further useful for preventing the hook point of the fishing hook from becoming entangled in and damaging other fishing equipment, such as the fishing line, fishing pole, fishing rod, etc. and damaging the fishing hook itself. The fishing hook protector device is also reusable, convenient and cost effective.

    Abstract: A polysiloxane copolymer composition comprises: a polysiloxane unit comprising 4 to 50 siloxane units, and a polyester-polycarbonate unit consisting of 50 to 100 mole percent of arylate ester units, less than 50 mole percent aromatic carbonate units, less than 30 mole percent resorcinol carbonate units, and less than 35 mole percent bisphenol carbonate units, wherein the siloxane units are present in the polysiloxane unit in an amount of 0.2 to 10 wt % of the total weight of the polysiloxane copolymer composition, and wherein the polysiloxane copolymer composition has a 2 minute integrated heat release rate of less than or equal to 65 kilowatt-minutes per square meter (kW-min/m2) and a peak heat release rate of less than 65 kilowatts per square meter (kW/m2) as measured using the method of FAR F25.4, in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulation FAR 25.853 (d). A window article for an aircraft, comprising the polysiloxane copolymer composition, is also disclosed.
