  • Patent number: 4515887
Abstract: There is provided a photosensitive modified silicone-aromatic polyamide acid convertible to a patterned silicone-polyimide. A silicone-polyamide acid is modified with an isocyanatoalkylacrylate to produce a silicone-aromatic polyamide acid having acrylate alkylamide groups attached to the silicone-aromatic polyamide acid backbone by nitrogen-nuclear bound carbon linkages.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 29, 1983
Date of Patent: May 7, 1985
    Assignee: General Electric Company
    Inventor: Gary C. Davis
  • Patent number: 4376759
Abstract: Nitric oxide, an odd-electron molecule, has been found to react with m-phosphoric acid to displace hydrogen and form nitrosyl m-phosphate. The addition of water to the nitrosyl salt regenerates the m-phosphoric acid, half the nitric oxide and the other half as nitrogen dioxide which can then be converted to nitric oxide in an oxidation process. These reactions thus form a cyclic process for obtaining hydrogen from water with low level energy.

Date of Patent: March 15, 1983
Inventors: Newell C. Cook, Gary C. Davis
  • Patent number: 4317944
Abstract: The rate of reaction between acetone and phenol in the presence of an acidic catalyst to form 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl) propane can be accelerated by employing an aliphatic alcohol with the reactants.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 3933852
Abstract: Nitrated derivatives of N-methylphthalimide can be obtained by contacting N-methylphthalimide dissolved in concentrated sulfuric acid with concentrated nitric acid at a temperature from about 60.degree.-80.degree.C., and thereafter extracting the formed nitro derivatives with methylene chloride.
